Empties!

Hey there!

I have really been working on finishing up my bath products. I had waaaaay too many and I felt guilty buying more. I have a 4 shelf standing rack for my bath items and when I was packing to move, it really hit me like a ton of bricks that that bugger was over flowing with shower gels and bubble baths. It was a problem. Now I am down to a third of what I owned. Now I can buy more but very slowly.

I used up a Suave Naturals in Tropical Coconut. I love the Suave Naturals shower gels. They are moisturizing and they lather very well. This particular scent was light and very nice. I would certainly purchase it again.

I found a Philosophy Fresh Peaches with Cream shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath at either T.J. Maxx or Marshalls. This smelled sooo good. Most of the Philosophy shampoo, shower gel and bubble baths smell good. This one certainly was fresh but even discounted, they are kinda pricey. Not sure that I'm going to purchase another one unless it's discounted on top of a discount.

The empty tube is a LancĂ´me freebie that I received almost a year ago in a gift with purchase pack. I almost didn't like it because it reminded me of a manly scent, which is fine but not on me. I used it because I didn't want to waste it but I'd never purchase the full size.

There is a Bath & Body Works shower gel in Honeycrisp Apple & Buttered Rum. Yummmmmy! It smelled delicious. I enjoyed wearing it.

The Naturally For You Bubble Bath in Milk and Honey came in a holiday set. It smelled nice but it didn't lather at all. I ended up just using it as bubble bath so that I could use it up. Don't buy this. It's not good.

And now onto the regular stuff. There's some Crest toothpaste (I float between Crest and Colgate), a razor to keep my eyebrows tame and some Pure & Gentle Make-up Remover Wipes. I've been liking these and using them along with my holy grail Wet n Wild makeup wipes.

I finished a base coat and top coat in my nail polish routine. No, neither bottle is empty but if you know nail polish, you know that base and top coats tend to get goopy before they run out. Yes, there are drops that you can use to extend the life but I don't find that they work well, and my Sally Hansen Insta-dri (that red bottle and the top coat love of my life) is only $5 or $6 so if you get $2.50 or $3 out of it, that's ok. I use one every six or so months so that's not a bad deal, all things considered.

That said, Sally Hansen Insta-dri is my holy grail. I will always repurchase. The Nail Envy by OPI was not worth it (review here). I didn't see that it did anything special and there are many base coats that are cheaper and do the exact same thing. It wasn't worth it to me. And the EOS in watermelon isn't used up, it just went rancid. It's fine but not amazing. I prefer the REVO brand better and that's only if I have to pick up one at all. They are odd shaped so they don't easily fit into your purse. That being said, they are ok. REVO is more moisturizing but not that much cheaper that EOS. Not sure that I'd repurchase.

And here you see 4 different body butters that I had every intention of using and didn't. I just fail when it comes to moisturization. I should do better but I don't. That's why I tossing almost full containers of body butter. Shame on me, I know.

This NSpa Super Fruity Cranberry Rich Body Butter came in a holiday pack. It smelled fine but it was closer to lotion than body butter. The Village Naturals Aromatherapy Energize body butter smelled really nice. I liked it but it was just a tiny tad bit too thick and a tiny tad bit too oily. The Tree Hut Shea Body Butter in Tropical Mango smelled fantastic and had the perfect moisturization factor. I enjoyed using it, the times that I remembered to use them. All of them are at least half full  and I've owned them long enough that they started to turn. That should tell me that I should have left all but one alone. This isn't something I need to have in bulk.

I also had to toss a Pomegranate Noir Body Scrub. This one didn't turn rancid or anything it just didn't smell that good. I expected a sweet pomegranate smell. Nahhh, it didn't smell that way. It was kinda stinky.

And that's my trash! I emptied fewer items this month (I think) but I'm still working on getting my stashes down. What are you empting this month?

Does it make scents?

Hey There!

It's time to find out what my house smells like! Well, it's time to find out what it did smell like in the month of July. I didn't have too many new scents going on but they were great scents.

I have been loving my Bath & Body Works Wallflowers. I have purchased new wallflowers for new portions of the house (haul to come soon). I used three of them this month. I used a Watermelon Lemonade, Pineapple Mango and Coconut leaves. Watermelon Lemonade and Pineapple Mango are regulars for my house. I love those scents. Coconut leaves is new. I like it but I'll probably try some others next time.

I only burned one new candle and finished up an old candle. I tried out a Guava Colada mini candle in my bathroom. It was very nice. I loved the tropical smell and it made my tiny, little bathroom smell great but, it didn't really have great room throw. Maybe it was because it's a mini. But, for the room that I used it in, it was good. I'd purchase it again.

I finished a large Target candle - Sweet Spun Sugar. It is my favorite candle of life! I love this candle. I never get tired of this scent. It's like a burst of cotton candy. If you haven't sniffed this, you are making poor life decisions. Start making better one's today! Get to your local Target and pick up one of these.

I switched out a car scentportable this month. Remember that Watermelon Lemonade scent that I told you I liked? Well, that was what I was rocking in my car. And, yes -- my car smelled amazing -- For about 3 or so weeks. The website says it should last twice as long. Maybe you can get a 4th week out of it but I didn't get much more than that. I have several more so I'll test them for longevity too. No worries though. At $2.50 each (when you purchase 4 at a time), I'd still keep purchasing them.

Has your house smelled as good as my house this month? I know it sounds like a Bath and Body Works haul but have you tried any of these products? What do you think about them?

And, please excuse the photos I've been posting lately. I haven't found a good place to take pictures just yet. I'm still working on it. Bare with me please!

Does it make scents?

Hey There!

I almost added all of these smell goods in my empties post yesterday. But, I figured that post was already too full. Besides, if you only wanted to read about one or the other, you could choose instead of read about everything.

But most of you want to read about them both, huh?

I am finishing up my Glade Plug-in scents. I mentioned a while back that I switched over to the Bath & Body Works wall flowers because they seem to have a better room throw than the Glade Plug-ins. I did have some plug-ins left, so I wanted to use them up. These are the Something Sweet Cotton Candy scent double pack. I love cotton candy scent but you have to be right next to the plug-in to smell them. Too bad because if they had a better room throw my entire house would smell like cotton candy 24-7.

Mentioning B&BW wall flowers, I have 2 empty wall flowers. I finished a Pineapple Mango and a Sunset Beach. Both are fantastic scents. Sunset Beach was fruity and sweet. I was expecting it to be more of a outside, sunshine smell. Instead it reminded me of a tropical drink. I've repurchased and I'm using the new Pineapple Mango one already. I actually have purchased quite a few wall flower scents. Bath & Body Works kept having sale after sale on them so I stocked up. That mean you will continue to see them.

I also finished a Bath & Body Works mini candle in Honolulu Sun. It smelled very fresh and clean. It burned well and I enjoyed it. I'd actually purchase the full size of this. When the next super sale comes along, I'll think about it.

And I finished a Yankee Candle Home Classics Sunsweet Melon candle. I purchased this one to decorate my bathroom. It sat in my bathroom for about 2 years before I began to burn it. That's probably why this wasn't a super strong scent. It was a nice, subtle melon scent. The only problem that I had is the same problem that I always have with Yankee Candles. The room throw is nonexistent. You have to be right up on their candles in order to smell them. I don't buy them anymore.

And that's what my house has been smelling like. I mentioned last month that my allergies have started to subside so I have been pulling my candles and smell goods back out. Get ready for the summer scents!

What had your house been smelling like?

Empties!

Hey there!

Wow! Do you see this bin o' empties? I can't remember the last time I had that much stuff to throw away! It's like I really concentrated on using up products.

Ok, so I did do that.

I finished an Avon Bubble Bath in Orange & Honeysuckle. It's a really nice scent. It's not strong and as always bubbles up very nicely. I don't think I'd purchase it again. I haven't used my Avon lady for a long while and I've been playing with other bubble baths. Also, I've been bubbling up with my Lush products and really like the Lush Bubble Bars.

I finished several shower gels. Yes, I did it on purpose. I had sooo many half used bottles that I needed to try to use up what I could. I finished a bottle of Nivea Moisturizing Body Wash Touch of Happiness in Orange Blossom. This smelled great. I loved the scent. I felt fresh and clean afterwards. This one is definitely on my repurchase list. I also finished a Nivea Touch of Serenity mini body wash in Hibiscus Blossom. It smelled nice but the consistency wasn't my favorite. It was too creamy, if that makes sense. It took a lot to lather up and if it didn't lather it would fall of the towel. Crazy. I got this in a subscription box and I wouldn't purchase it.

I also got an Olay Fresh Outlast Cooling White Strawberry shower gel in a subscription box. It smelled great, lathered well and I'd certainly repurchase it. There was also a Bath & Body Works shower gel mini in Moonlight Path. I love this scent. I have a full size and the mist. It smells sexy. Philosophy Have a Cherry Christmas did not smell sexy. If you simply sniff it, it smells like a cherry dream. When you put it on your body, it stinks.

I finished another of my holy grail face wipes Wet n Wild Under The Sheets. You know the deal. These are amaze balls. I used up a Secret Deodorant. No secret there. And, there is an empty Crest Tartar Protection toothpaste. Love it. I also finished a Neutrogena Oil-free Moisture Sensitive Skin Moisturizer. I like it pretty well. I've repurchased another one in a slightly different formula. I'm on the hunt for something better though, so don't get attached.

I used up two Ogx products. I used a Thick & Full Biotin & Collagen Shampoo and Smooth Hydration Argan Oil & Shea Butter Conditioner. They were ok but not the best Ogx products that I've used. I probably won't try them again. I also have to toss a bottle of Almond oil. A few days ago I did a post on essential body oils and I realized I've had this particular bottle for quite a while. So I did a quick sniff test and, yeah, it went rancid. I will, of course, repurchase it though.

Another item that went rancid is my bareMinerals Loud & Clear lip sheer in Berry Remix. I got this as a promotional item. I kinda think that it was already bad when I got it. I also tossed an Aquaphor tube because it went all liquidy. My bag of facial buff sponges did not go rancid or liquidy. It went empty. Love using them to exfoliate a few times a week.

So that's all the craziness that is going on in my trash can! Quite a bit, I dunno, maybe what I always have. It just seems like a lot.

What did you use this month? Was it a lot or about the same? Anything interesting? Tell us about it!

It's A Haul Y'all! - Bath and Body Works

Hey There!

Yeppers! I went to the Bath and Body Works and finished spending my birthday gift cards. My lovely friends know that I love some bath time smell good. And, well, some home smell good too!

I love the Bath and Body Works hand soaps. I've used others but they don't last as long and they certainly don't smell as great. I always wait until they are on sale and then stock up. This time I got all of my soaps for either $2.60 or $2.40. I had an extra 20% off! It's not the best sale that I've gone to but not bad and I was getting low. I try to pick up new fragrances when I go in. This time I picked up Island Margarita, Perfect Beach Day, Sunrise Sail and Island Pineapple.

I only picked up 1 shower gel and I only picked it up in the 3 oz. mini. I picked up Twilight Woods. It was on sale ($1.00) because the scent is being discontinued. It sells nice so I might pick up one more mini. Because I have a ridiculous amount of shower gels I won't pick up a full size.

Because I don't have enough candles in my life (just kidding), I got 2 of the mini's for $1.60. I wanted to try Guava Colada and Honolulu Sun. Spoiler alert -- Honolulu Sun smells so goooood! I like this mini's because it's like a try before you buy size.

And, the reason that I walked into Bath and Body Works was to grab the wallflower deals. With my coupon and the sale, they were only $2.40. I picked up Watermelon Lemonade (repurchase), Beautiful Day, Georgia Peach (repurchase), Sunset Beach and Kitchen Lemon. I recently did a post on why I've switched from Glad plugins to B&BW plugins. They have a great room throw and so many yummy scents to choose from.

So I didn't do too much damage. I think I didn't get too many miscellaneous items. I think it was ok. What do you think? Too much? Too little? And, ahem, what did you buy during the B&BW sale?

No Buy - Body Lotion

Hey There!

This. Is. Ridiculous! In the unpacking process, I pulled out 22 tubes of hand lotion. And no, that doesn't include the full size bottles of Jergens and Suave lotions that I keep in the bathroom and next to the bed (5).

Twenty Two!!

I'm too lazy to even use lotion half of the durn time! You heard me! It almost pains me to reach over and slather lotion all over my body. If this is the case, how on earth do you end up with 22 of them? 22 + 5? Well, I have won the prize and amassed at least 27 lotions that I don't use most of the time.

How did this happen? Well, so glad you thought to ask that question. The first bottles of Suave lotion were coupon finds (because before that the kiddo and I shared a bottle or two of lotion). I ended up with 4 or 5 bottles of it. Then I sniffed Jergens and decided I liked that much better and ended up with 4 or 5 bottles of that.

From there I decided that I needed purse sized lotions. And, well, it's hard to find the perfect sized purse lotion! They might be too big or too small or the lid might open. It was a delicate process.

And then, you'd come upon a great smelling lotion and you had to get it. Or, someone would recommend a lotion and you had to try it. Or, you'd get one in a beauty box or hotel room. You get the picture.

Most of them are smaller purse lotions. I got some of them from the Dollar Tree (Stunner & Too Much). They were watery and smell really strong. I got a small one from Ulta (OPI Avojuice in Ginger Lily) and one from a hotel that I stayed in (True Blue Spa, Grin & Bare It). I definitely have to use those up. All those tiny ones have got to go!

I have big ones, mainly from Bath & Body Works. I am currently hoarding Energy Orange Ginger Body Cream, Napa Autumn Blackberry Body Cream and Velvet Sugar Body Cream. And no, that doesn't include the two, 2 oz containers of Black Cherry Merlot and Pink Chiffon.

Besides my three Jergens lotions and my Suave lotion, the rest of them are random drugstore, beauty box and end cap lotion finds. Not that it matters. It's still 27 lotions that I shouldn't have had. I should have had, what -- maybe 6 or 7 at the most? Maybe 9.

So what's my plan? Well, I'm going to slather my body in hydrating goodness from now on. I'm going to make sure that I take the time to use some of these delightful treats that I've left to go rancid.

And I'm not going to buy any more until I've used these up.

Yep, you heard me! I'm on a lotion no buy until I have used TEN of these up. After that, when I use three minis, I can purchase 1 mini. If I use three large sizes, I can buy 1 large size. But, I will not purchase ANY more until 10 of these bad boys are done.

Because this is insane.

Does it make scents - Plug Ins?

Hey There!

When you move into a new place you have that smell. You know -- that "new" smell. It smells like paint, cleaning supplies and just general unlived-ness. I like to come into my place and make it smell like a real home. So, I almost instantly, plug in some fragrance plugs.

The first fragrance plug in that I found were two of my Glade Something Sweet Plug-ins in the fragrance Cotton Candy. I plugged one of them in the dining room and another in the hallway. I left them for almost a full 24 hours and...

...it wasn't a strong throw. I loved the scent when I stood right next to the plug in but as I walked a few feet away, the scent began to dissipate. That is undesirable. It means that I need to plug up more of them to make my place smell good. And, it's not that big of a place! I life in a two bedroom apartment so you don't have that much space to throw your good smells to.

After a day of the Glade Plug-ins, I plugged in some Bath & Body Works Wallflower fragrance plugs. I used Pineapple Mango in the kitchen and Coconut Leaves in my bedroom. The kitchen fragrance plug in, is firmly tucked in the kitchen and the bedroom one is as you walk in the door.

My dining room and kitchen are connected and when you walk into the dining room, you smell the Pineapple Mango scent. It's not overpowering, it's just nice, sweet and pleasant. I smelled the light fragrance of Coconut Leaves when I woke up this morning. My bed is about 5 feet away from the fragrance plug in. It was such a nice smell to wake up to.

So, even though I really do love the cotton candy scent of the Glade Plug-ins, I prefer the throw of the Bath & Body Works Wallflower fragrance plugs. It does mean I'll spend a tiny but more but I think it will be worth it.

It's A Haul Y'all!

Hey there!

The kiddo and I decided that we needed to explore our new neighborhood. We had a good breakfast at a local restaurant Another Broken Egg. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw the coffee cup from the restaurant. We were with friends so I didn't want to take too many pictures of my food. And, if you stay tuned, in a few days I'll explain what the whole neighborhood restaurant quest is.

But, after getting some fuel in my belly, the kiddo and I went shopping! We found a Wally World (that is not close to me at all. I probably won't go back to that location) and stocked up on bubble bath and picked up curtains. We also traipsed to Target and Home Depot (you know how it is). We needed to get the basics (cleaning supplies, towels, etc.). Then... THEN we went to the clothing stores!!!!!

I didn't really need anything but I wanted to show the kiddo what stores were in our area. She, of course, found some great stuff at Old Navy and Claires. Mama went to a few other stores.

I have mentioned Charming Charlie before. It's a cute little jewelry, clothing, accessory store. I like it because they have lots of sales that makes their jewelry a very good price AND when we went the clearance jewelry was BOGO. The kiddo scored big time! I was looking for rose gold pieces to match my new necklace from Bauble Bar. Charming Charlie has soooo many rose gold pieces that I could choose from. I went right to the back of the store to see if I could find some discounted rose gold pieces. They did not disappoint! I got these great earrings and beaded wrap bracelet. The bracelet was $4.99 (originally $10) and the earrings were $3.99 (originally $8), so my total price was $4.99 plus tax! I saved $13. Waaaaay to go!

The kiddo and I also swung into Bath & Bodyworks to pick up some Wallflowers fragrance plugs for the new place. I have the plain white ones but I wanted a cute one for my bedroom and I wanted the kiddo to pick a cute one for her bedroom. I didn't end up necessarily picking a "cute" one. I just picked a grey flower top one. My bedroom is silver, green and white so the grey blends in very well. The kiddo got the blue butterfly fragrance plug. She picked up hers because she liked it, not necessarily because it fit the room decor.

I don't normally walk into certain stores. I see the name and I just figure everything inside is super expensive. I should know better than that! Even more pricey stores have a discount area. And, White House Black Market is one of those stores. I hustled my booty to the back of the store and found three really cute tops!

The first top has already been on a test drive. It's a larger, flowing black and white striped three quarter length sleeves (originally $58, purchased for $29.99). It's light weight so it's perfect for summer visits to place like the movies or restaurants -- you know, places where the AC is going to blowing like crazy. I wore a basic, white, spaghetti strap tank top. I think next time I'll wear a tank (either black or white works) with wider straps. The top sleeves go where they want to and I kept being very conscious of whether or not my bra strap was showing. Bigger straps would have meant that I wouldn't have cared if the tank strap showed because they would have covered my bra straps.

The mint green tank top is really fun (originally $84, purchased for $19.99). It's a satiny tank that will look great under a jacket or wrap (and I am soooo into wraps right now). The straps are embellished with little rhinestone cuffs to just give it a bit of dazzle. I need some dazzle in my wardrobe. I'm glad this top has joined my closet!

I also added a simple pale grey tank to my wardrobe. It's basic and it was a good price (originally $40, purchased for $9.99). I don't have a tank this color or this design. I thought the design classed it up a bit so I think it will be nice for a work tank. Again, this would be a great with a plain jacket.

For a girl not looking for anything, I got pretty lucky this time! I just hope I get great deals like this every time I got shopping with the kiddo.

Does it make scents?

Hey There!

Because it's allergy season I didn't use much in the smell good department. If I'm outside dealing with pollen and grass and mold spores, the last thing I can deal with is a heavily fragranced house. So these are actually things that I used before the allergy season began.

I finished a Glade Plugin refill in Pumpkin Pie Diner. Man oh man, these smell so good! They smell like sweet potato pie (I don't eat pumpkin pie so I'm not 100% sure what pumpkin pie smells like). I love food scents and this one was right up my alley. It's perfect for the holidays. I had one leftover from Thanksgiving, so I went ahead and used it.

I'm actually phasing my Glade Plugins out. They aren't making the fantastic scents that they use to (maybe 1 new scent that I like, a year). The regular fragrances are nice but I like variety. I love their holiday scents so I will still keep my plugins and maybe purchase 1 or 2 of my favorites but plugins won't be my main scent dispenser.

What I have been using are the Bath & Body Works Wallflowers. They are a bit more expensive than the Glad plugins, especially when you use coupons on the plugins, like I do, but once you purchase your actual Wallflowers, you can get your wallflower scents when they go on sale (which is almost every month). And, they have such fantastic scents, with new scents coming out each season.

And, let me mention that the wallflowers are the cutest things ever! I originally got just plain ones to hide around the house but I have been picking up cuter ones to be seen.

This past season I was using Georgia Peach, Vanilla Bean Marshmallow and Cinnamon Sugared Donut wallflower scents. Yes, they are wonderful. My house smelled like delicious goodness. I loved walking through and smelling all the food scents. No, they don't make me hungry but they do make me happy.

I purchased quite a few other wallflower scents when I could get them on sale, but I can't use them just yet. I think by mid June I should be ok. I think you are really going to enjoy seeing what I got -- well, I'll enjoy sniffing them and then telling you about them.

What did your house smell like this month? Are you struggling with allergies too? Do you have a favorite scent or scent dispenser?

Bath & Body Works Car Scents

Hey there!

It's not my fault! It's my car's fault.

I've been going back and forth on whether or not I was going to a new car freshener and every time I went into Bath and Body Works I'd see those car clip on thingies.

I got a coupon and decided that I needed a Mason Jar Scentportable Holder. I peeked at them with my sister about a month ago with my sister and decided to leave them. But each time I left them in the store. Then, my car hanging fragrance thing stopped working. Reason enough.

I picked up 4 scents for $10. I didn't get really fragrant ones but ones that I thought would work in the closed confines of my vehicle. It's about to get hot and I don't want it to get too fragrant.

Yes, I said a Mason Jar holder. I had to choose from a sparkling purple holder or a beaded appliqué holder or a coral dragonfly flower or...well you've seen them. You know all the cuteness I had to look through. In the end I decided to go with summer drinking cute.

Once I decided on a Mason Jar holder, I had to pick 4 smellies for my car. I picked Watermelon Lemonade, Cinnamon Caramel Swirl, Island Margarita and Peach Bellini.

Yes! I know that they are all food scents. I don't need you to point that out to me. I don't need your judgment!

Besides, it means my car is gonna smell better than your car.

Or at least you'll get thirsty for a delicious summer beverage.

It's A Haul Y'all! - Bath and Body Works

Hey There!

I know that I said I wasn't going to get the wallflowers from Bath and Body Works but my sister made me do it. Yep, she made me do it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

My sister and I stopped by a Bath & Body Works and we were only going to smell the candles (ha! no one believes that!). We did smell candles and then we bought a whole bunch of stuff that we didn't need but really, really wanted.

I know that I said I wasn't going to buy the wallflowers because I have Glade plug ins but see, what had happened was... I lied. I lied because the last time I went to Wal-mart to buy new Glade plug in scents, they didn't have anything new and exciting. When my little sis and I went into B&BW they had TONS of scents to choose from AND they have even more on line!

So, I purchased 2 wallflowers and then 4 scents for my wallflowers. I picked up Pineapple Palm Grass, Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut, Guava Colada and Vanilla Bean Marshmallow. They had a sale and the lady at the counter gave me an additional 20% off coupon. I couldn't pass it up! That would be like a slap to the face!

I also picked up 3 things for $12 (minus 20%). I picked up a Moonlight Path shower gel (I'm going to be doing some traveling soon and I need a little mini shower gel), a Cherry Blossom Sangria candle (one of my YouTube gurus loves it) and a Black Cherry Merlot hand cream (my hands are gonna smell delightful).

So not only will my hands smell delightful, my house will too. I'm pretty darn excited about that!

Does it make scents?

Hey There!

I had to work really hard at using up 4 candles this month (February). I think I did too much running around outside of my house and my rule is if I'm not going to be home for at least 2 hours, I won't light a candle. And, all of these were full sized candles. It takes longer to use up full sized candles. That's why I like mini candles.

The first candle I used up was a Lavender candle from Izola that a friend bought me for Christmas...2 years ago. I didn't want to use it because then it's gone. But, it smelled really calming. Now I'm glad I burned it. It came from a small business (and he purchased it on Small Business Saturday) so I can always purchase another one.

The second candle was a cutie. It was an Entenmann's Lemon Pound Cake scented candle. I was so excited to burn it. In the jar it smells so fantastic. Weeeeeeeeeel, it was just ok once I began burning it. I was glad when it was done. It burned a while but it smelled weird and I wasn't into it.

The third candle was AMAZE-BALLS! It was a Food Network Berry Pomegranate Spritzer candle that my sister bought me for Christmas. It smelled soooo good. It burned a long time and I was so sad when it was done. I am definitely going to pick up another one of these. I think she got it from Wally World.

The final candle of the month was a Bath & Body Works candle in Sea Salt & Maple Popcorn. I really like this candle BUT it is a very strong scent. I could only burn this one for 2 hours at a time. After that, I got all stuffy and my nose got mad at me. I could probably burn this about 2 more hours but I'm kinda sick of it. It's nice but really!

And the bonus scent was a Glade plug in pack in Fresh Berry. Very nice. Very fresh. I kept this one plugged into the wall right by the front door and kitchen. I have often thought about other brands of wall plug in apparatuses but Glaa-day plug ins are the best in my opinion. They have great fragrances and they are slightly cheaper than the other wall plug in apparatuses.

So yes, my house smelled really good all month. What did you house smell like this month?

Empties!

Hey there!

Not only is it the end of the month, it's also the end of the year. No, I didn't save any trash all year to show you but I will link all of my monthly empties at the bottom, just in case you missed a month. Cause, I know you want to see if I finished that bar of soap and what I thought.

This month I finished three Avon Bubble Baths! Yes, three of them. Don't act so surprised! You aren't new here (and if you are hello! Pull up a chair. Grab a refreshing beverage). This month I used up a Fresh Orchard Apple was so light and crisp. There is something about an apple scent that makes me feel clean! Vanilla Cream is one of my go-to scents. Love it. Sugar and Walnut was weird. It reminded me of a vanilla and almond scent which almost always turns my stomach. Of the three, this one will not be repurchased.

I also used up some shower gels. Bath and Body Works Napa Autumn Blackberry is to die for. I love this type of scent. It's so rich and decadent. I also finished a small container of The Body Shop's Early Harvest Raspberry shower gel. It also smells heavenly and delicious. Both of these lovelies will be repurchased whenever I see them.

I finished an Herbal Essences body wash in Honey, I Smell Good. It did not smell good. It was blah and really not worth the trouble. I used it up so I could be done with it.

I also finished a Body Fantasies Cotton Candy body lotion. This is the old packaging. That's how long I held on to this little gem. Now that I have replacements, I can slather this stuff on night and day. Who cares that I smell like a candy store?!

I always have my Secret Deodorant and my Colgate toothpaste in the mix. They are forever staples. I tried a Secret Clinical Strength Gel and didn't like it. In general, I like deodorant sticks. I don't like wet deodorant at all.

You see that mamma jamma sized tube of Aquaphor? Well, it's in the bin because it went bad. I have so many little tubes of Aquaphor all over the house and car and in ever purse, this large one by the bedside went all liquidy. It was time to toss it anyway. I began using Aquaphor when my daughter was born. They gave us a huge tub of it at the hospital. I've never been without it since.

So... I finished an Equate Beauty bottle of nail polish remover and it was fine, alone. But, when I added some to my Studio 35 Beauty nail polish remover container (the kind that you stick your finger in, swish it around and your nail is free of polish), it didn't work. It's like the container only likes the remover that it came with. That's ok though. I have a new remover that I'm going to try in the new year. Stay tuned for that!

I gave up on my yukky tube of e.l.f. Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Clear Mascara. I actually have 2 backups (well, one now) because I love this stuff. I draw in my eyebrows and then brush this stuff on them to keep everything in place. I tend to touch my eyebrows a lot during the day (I have NO idea why) and this just helps keep the color where it should be.

I got a sample of the Clear Scalp and Hair Beauty Therapy Damage & Color Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. I always say the same thing about these little samples. There are nice but who can tell if they like a product from a onetime use. Actually, a one wash used. You don't even get a complete hair shampoo out of this if you lather twice. And, I don't have a lot of hair but one packet of conditioner ain't gonna cut it skippy. This was fine. Just fine.

And last but not least, I (along with the kiddo) finished a bottle of Mizani Spradiance High Gloss Serum. You know this is my holy grail hair heat protectant. I've tried a lot of brands and even though this is $20 a bottle, I NEED this stuff in my life. Oh! Wonderful news update. I found a beauty supply store that obviously doesn't know that this is the elixir of hair life. They are selling it for $14.99! I almost pinched my mother right there in the store!

Oh yes! I always try to include some none beauty related empties, you know, just to make things fun. This month I am throwing in Gla'de (Glade) comes out strong with their seasonal scents and their Red Apple Bakery plug ins are so delicious. I am a sucker for all things food. I know that everyone likes the Bath and Body Works plug ins but I prefer the Glade ones. They have a great room throw (sometimes I have to unplug them) and I can always find them pretty cheap. This 2 pack was discounted at $3.42 and I had a $1 coupon! That made them $1.21 for each plug in -- sweet!

That's it good people. That's the stuff I used up this month and what I thought of it. I hope you guys enjoy these posts. I enjoy making them. I began with a small basket in my bathroom and now I have a larger tub sized bucket in my closet.

So, while I'm changing up certain types of blog postings in 2015, empties isn't one of them. A mini review is right up everyone's alley!

Other empties...
