Empties!

Hey there!

It's time to go through my trash! Well, not my kitchen trash can. This is my HBA trash can. No smelly leftover food.

I finished a travel toothpaste and a deodorant. To all the people that see me, pass me, speak to me in a day...you are welcome. I also finished a trial size Laneige Water Bank Essence EX. I love it! Today, yes today, I am running to the store to pick up a full size. I won't go into too much detail because I plan on spending an entire post detailing my love for the Laneige products that I've been using.

You will always see face wipes in my HBA trash can. I tried to go without them, thinking that face oils and cleansers would become my BFF. I just like wipes as my first line of defense! So, you will keep seeing them in my empties. I finishes a Dickinson's face wipe that I got free in my Influenster Sunshine Vox Box. They were nice. They smell a bit medicinal (witch hazel does that!) but I can get over that. Even so, I'm not sure that I'll buy them. Just because I already have a fave.

I also finished a pack of Simple Oil Balancing Cleansing Wipes. It's fine but that's it. It's not amazing or exciting or even super good. I find that I'm not moved by any of the products that Simple makes. They are fine but that's it. The price point is ok but other products in the same price point work better.

As always, I moisturized my hands this month. I mentioned a while back that I have a ton of lotions (link to that post here!). Well, I am whittling them down. I finished a Pink Chiffon Moisturizing Hand Cream from Bath & Body Works. It smells really good! It's another candy scent and you know I love my candy scents! The OPI Avojuice lotion in Ginger Lily is from Ulta. It smells really nice but it's pretty watery. I liked the fact that it fit in my little purse. I don't like the fact that it did not moisturize at all.

I used a Lush Rose Jam bubbleroon ($6.25). It was very sweet, it smelled good and it "bubbled up" the water really well. Worth buying it again. I also threw my Sugar Berry Shortcake foaming hand soap from Bath & Body Works into the mix. It smelled good, very sweet, very spring/summery. And I finished a lavender scented bag of Epsom Salt from Dollar Tree.  I will always have this in my bathroom. It is good for a nice soak after a hard day or a hard work out. I normally add a drop or two of lavender oil into the water to punch it up.

And last are my bath products. I have whittled down the overstock of bath products that I owned. I finally feel like I can buy a bath wash and not feel guilty. I finished a Caress Fine Fragrance Elixir Bath Wash in Scarlet Blossom. It was nice but really fragrant. I know many people like that but it was a bit too much for me. It lathered nicely but the color scared me (and my white towels). I also finished an April Bath & Shower gel in Blackberry & Lilac scent from Dollar Tree. I really liked the scent. It was fresh and light. It didn't lather worth crap though. I hate that cause I wanted it to but, oh well!

Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin from Bath & Body Works was a super sweet, cinnamon pumpkin scent (as the name suggests). It's nice and warm and perfect for the fall. But, I was using this in summer. I was kinda over it. I would buy it again but maybe in a mini.

I can't remember when I got this Lemon Pomegranate Shower Gel from Bath & Body Works but I want more! This smelled soooo good. It lathered well and I just wanted to eat it! I'm on the hunt people. I'd pay full price for this one. Yaaaaas! The Ulta brand Beauty Smoothy in Lollipop Twist, noooooo. It didn't have a great smell and it didn't lather well at all. It was a 3 for $10 "deal" that I will never take advantage of again. Bath gel fail. Oahu Coconut Sunset mini shower gel was yummy. It smelled lightly tropical and was nice for spring and summer. My Avon Naturals Vibrant Orchid & Blueberry hydrating shower gel smelled good for spring and summer as well. It lathers well too.

And now the green empties bucket is empty! What did you empty this month? Will you purchase it again?

Empties!

Hey there!

I'm pulling out the new green empties tub to show you my trash! It's not super full but it so bubble bathy. I guess that means March was a very clean month for me.

I finished quite a few bubble baths this month. I finished up two Avon Bubble Baths. I used up a Vanilla Cream and a Peppermint Vanilla Bubble Bath. I loved the Peppermint Vanilla but I think it's seasonal. I'm going to check the Avon outlet book for it and if I see it, I'm grabbing 6!! I used a Sonoma Spa Bubble Bath in Japanese Cherry Blossom. It smelled very nice -- not a heavy cherry blossom scent as some of them tend to be.

I only used up 1 body wash and that was the Vitabath in Wild Red Cherry. Oh. My. Gosh. It smelled so darned good! It smells like a cherry lifesaver. You just want to bathe in it over and over again. I said that I wouldn't purchase anymore body washes because I have a ton, but I'd get this one. Let it be known!!

That yukky plastic bag contained a Lush Fizzy Bath Bomb in The Enchanter. Now, when I looked online to do research, it appeared that this was a limited edition bath bomb. I do know that it was at least a year old (don't judge me!) but I forgot about it until recently. I got about 3 baths out of it (cause $6.95 cannot go for one bath!) and it was delightful. If you've never had a Lush Bath Bomb, you need to treat yourself. Do like I do and break it and use it 3 or 4 times. You'll be glad that you did.

Yep! That's a Secret Deodorant. I can't fool you smart people. There's also a Mizani Spradiance High Gloss Serum. The kiddo and I LOVE this. We go through a bottle every 2 months are so. I also have 2 "not empty but so done" items. My small container of Make Up For Ever HD Primer is going bye bye. It's over a year old and it was a bit more liquidy than I think it should be. It was good but doesn't come close to the Hourglass one that I love. And, my Kiehls Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter is in the trash because it went rancid quickly. I think it was bad when they sent it to me as a sample. No worries though. It was a good product but I wouldn't pay for the full size.

I finished 2 face wipes. The Wet n Wild Under The Sheets makeup remover is my jam! It's wet enough and removes makeup like a champ BUT I have a hard time finding it. It's only at random Walgreens. So, next time I see it, I'm getting 2. The other face wipe pack probably still has about 2 left in it. I couldn't do it anymore. It's the Global Beauty Care Retinol Cleansing Cloths from the Dollar Tree. They are horrible. It's like wiping water on your face with a facial tissue. They are thin and very delicate. The makeup on my face isn't delicate and I need something strong to take it off. I will not repurchase these.

And last but not least, I finished 2 L'Oreal Age Perfect trial sized products. I finished a Cell Renewal Serum and a Day Cream. I mentioned before that the cell renewal serum smells great, goes into my skin perfectly but I don't see the benefits. I don't feel like my cells have renewed but you know what? If I like what it's doing, maybe that's reason enough to keep buying it. I dunno. I have repurchased another sample size of the day cream. Even so, I'm not sure that I'm 100% on board with it. I might get another cell renewal serum and then go back to my summer face moisturizer and see if that works.

Now we get to toss the stuff from the green basket, into the big trash basket. Like I said, it didn't seem like a lot but I say that every month. I guess when you see other people's empties, you feel like you should have more. Well, I don't and I guess that's ok.

What in your trash this month? Same ole, same ole from last month or something exciting and new? If I try to have something great in mine next month, you should try to as well!

Empties!

Hey there!

Not only is it the end of the month, it's also the end of the year. No, I didn't save any trash all year to show you but I will link all of my monthly empties at the bottom, just in case you missed a month. Cause, I know you want to see if I finished that bar of soap and what I thought.

This month I finished three Avon Bubble Baths! Yes, three of them. Don't act so surprised! You aren't new here (and if you are hello! Pull up a chair. Grab a refreshing beverage). This month I used up a Fresh Orchard Apple was so light and crisp. There is something about an apple scent that makes me feel clean! Vanilla Cream is one of my go-to scents. Love it. Sugar and Walnut was weird. It reminded me of a vanilla and almond scent which almost always turns my stomach. Of the three, this one will not be repurchased.

I also used up some shower gels. Bath and Body Works Napa Autumn Blackberry is to die for. I love this type of scent. It's so rich and decadent. I also finished a small container of The Body Shop's Early Harvest Raspberry shower gel. It also smells heavenly and delicious. Both of these lovelies will be repurchased whenever I see them.

I finished an Herbal Essences body wash in Honey, I Smell Good. It did not smell good. It was blah and really not worth the trouble. I used it up so I could be done with it.

I also finished a Body Fantasies Cotton Candy body lotion. This is the old packaging. That's how long I held on to this little gem. Now that I have replacements, I can slather this stuff on night and day. Who cares that I smell like a candy store?!

I always have my Secret Deodorant and my Colgate toothpaste in the mix. They are forever staples. I tried a Secret Clinical Strength Gel and didn't like it. In general, I like deodorant sticks. I don't like wet deodorant at all.

You see that mamma jamma sized tube of Aquaphor? Well, it's in the bin because it went bad. I have so many little tubes of Aquaphor all over the house and car and in ever purse, this large one by the bedside went all liquidy. It was time to toss it anyway. I began using Aquaphor when my daughter was born. They gave us a huge tub of it at the hospital. I've never been without it since.

So... I finished an Equate Beauty bottle of nail polish remover and it was fine, alone. But, when I added some to my Studio 35 Beauty nail polish remover container (the kind that you stick your finger in, swish it around and your nail is free of polish), it didn't work. It's like the container only likes the remover that it came with. That's ok though. I have a new remover that I'm going to try in the new year. Stay tuned for that!

I gave up on my yukky tube of e.l.f. Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Clear Mascara. I actually have 2 backups (well, one now) because I love this stuff. I draw in my eyebrows and then brush this stuff on them to keep everything in place. I tend to touch my eyebrows a lot during the day (I have NO idea why) and this just helps keep the color where it should be.

I got a sample of the Clear Scalp and Hair Beauty Therapy Damage & Color Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. I always say the same thing about these little samples. There are nice but who can tell if they like a product from a onetime use. Actually, a one wash used. You don't even get a complete hair shampoo out of this if you lather twice. And, I don't have a lot of hair but one packet of conditioner ain't gonna cut it skippy. This was fine. Just fine.

And last but not least, I (along with the kiddo) finished a bottle of Mizani Spradiance High Gloss Serum. You know this is my holy grail hair heat protectant. I've tried a lot of brands and even though this is $20 a bottle, I NEED this stuff in my life. Oh! Wonderful news update. I found a beauty supply store that obviously doesn't know that this is the elixir of hair life. They are selling it for $14.99! I almost pinched my mother right there in the store!

Oh yes! I always try to include some none beauty related empties, you know, just to make things fun. This month I am throwing in Gla'de (Glade) comes out strong with their seasonal scents and their Red Apple Bakery plug ins are so delicious. I am a sucker for all things food. I know that everyone likes the Bath and Body Works plug ins but I prefer the Glade ones. They have a great room throw (sometimes I have to unplug them) and I can always find them pretty cheap. This 2 pack was discounted at $3.42 and I had a $1 coupon! That made them $1.21 for each plug in -- sweet!

That's it good people. That's the stuff I used up this month and what I thought of it. I hope you guys enjoy these posts. I enjoy making them. I began with a small basket in my bathroom and now I have a larger tub sized bucket in my closet.

So, while I'm changing up certain types of blog postings in 2015, empties isn't one of them. A mini review is right up everyone's alley!

Other empties...

Empties!

Hey there!

September is gone! I'm not sure where it went but it sure went fast. And now, it's time to show you what I used up this month as I walk towards the trash can.

Starting in the bathroom, the tub actually, I used up another AVON Bubble Bath (Coconut Water - 2 for $10) and a Target Up & Up brand body wash (Radiant Body Wash in Peach Extract and Silk $2.59). I like both brands. The Coconut Water Bubble Bath was ok but I'm not sure that I'll buy another one. The Peach Extract body wash was nice and creamy just as good as the Caress Brand. I will continue to purchase this one.

While in the tub a girl tends to shave her legs and (excuse my non-delicate nature here) pits. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I tried some cheapo reapo Dollar Tree razors ($1 for 5) and hated them. That means I have 5 razors that I need to trash. Bye Bye. I will NEVA purchase these again.

Deodorant - Secret brand in Powder Fresh. I buy them at Sam's Club, 4 for $7 or something like that or I use coupons at Target or Wal-Mart. Anywhosie, it's the only deodorant I wear because my underarms tell on me if I don't.

I'm tossing 3 bareMinerals products because they are old as heck and probably smell bad. I love my bareMinerals products and will always repurchase them but perhaps this time I won't go all ham and buy the big mamma jamma sizes! I put a good dent in the ORIGINAL SPF 15 foundation ($27). I probably only had 1/3 left. I only used half of the READY SPF 20 pressed powder Foundation ($29) and I might have used half of the tinted Balance & Boost Mineral Veil (purchased during a QVC special, so not sure of the price) -- maybe.

I need a moment of silence here. My favorite foot cream has been the Aveda Foot Relief cream for years. I love the smell, I love the feel, I love what it does for my feet. I don't love the price - $24. I have to give a bit of a spoiler here folks. I have tried other foot creams and so far they are only so-so. If I don't find something amazing soon, I'm going to have to borrow $24 from one of you and get this! And, by borrow I mean have with no intention of giving it back.

I got a Befine food skin care daily moisturizer ($24)  in an Ipsy bag and I don't like it. I tried it for a while and then decided that it wasn't any good. No need to keep it.

I picked up a Lush Bubble Gum Lip Scrub ($9.95) about a year ago. I gave some of it to my sister, shared with a friend and I still ended up with most of this left. I bought it to scrub the dead skin off my lips. I used it a few times and then realized, I don't have dead skin on my lips. I wear Baby Lips on my lips every night and it seems to do the trick. This is a nice product but I probably won't purchase it again.

I finally had to ditch my sample of Smashbox Photo Finish Luminizing Foundation Primer ($38). I wasn't a fan so I didn't use it that often and when I went to try it again, it was dried out. No worries. I don't think I missed anything. Not sure that I'd buy it.

I also had to let go of a Revlon Treat & Boost nail polish. I really liked it. It was great as a base coat on my nails. I don't know that it was magical or anything but it was nice. I bought it during the super CVS sale in the spring so I'm not sure what the cost is now. And, it may be discontinued. No worries. There are plenty of really good base coats out there.

Random - Clobetasol Propionate. My scalp needs extra help. I have to have this very month. I get it from my doctor's office.

And that's what's getting tossed in the bin this moment. I hope you enjoyed going through my trash. What did you finish this month that you loved? What did you finished that you didn't like?

Empties

Hey there!

And another month bites the dust! That's how it goes!

The month of August was unremarkable when it came to empties. I didn't really use much up. I spent the month testing new things and that almost always means nothing gets tossed in the trash.

Well, lucky for you, some things are consistent. I finished up several bath items. Of course I used a couple of my Avon Bubble Bath (2/$10). I used up a Warm Vanilla & Fig (which I LOVE!), a Peppermint Vanilla Swirl (which is great and makes the entire bathroom smell fantastic) and a Vanilla Cream (a favorite in my home. It's our go to BB). I always repurchase Avon Bubble Bath. I think I always will. I tried a Creightons Lime & Grape Energise Bath & Shower Gel (purely because it is English and in my head, I'm from England). I found it for $2.99 at Ross. It wasn't good. Not at all. It didn't lather worth anything. I ended up pouring it into the water stream as I ran my bathwater. It scented the room rather than anything else. I will not purchase another one (but I think I have another one to use up).

Another constant is candles. I burn candles all the time. I have to. It keeps me very level.
This month I finished a Bath & Body Works Peach Bellini ($5 sale) and Mango Dragon Fruit (3/$10 sale). The Peach Bellini is so peachy and smells soooo good. I used my warmer to finish off what you see here. The Mango Dragon Fruit was just ok. I can't see myself picking up another one of those. The large tin is a Target candle that I saw on a YouTube haul. It's a Bubble Gum Scented Soy Candle and in the store it smelled heavenly. Once I started to burn it, nuthin. I mean nuthin! For the first hour there was a faint scent of bubble gum and then nuthin for the next 44 hours. It claims to burn for 45 hours. I didn't test the theory because I have no plans on every purchasing this again. Disappointing! I kept the tin though, because it's cute but for $10, I'd like more than cute.

Then I have some random empties.

I am tossing an Egyptian Musk roll on oil. I love the smell of Egyptian Musk and can point it out in a crowd. But this bottle was old and had gone rancid. I have a replacement. I pick them up for about $2.99 at my local beauty supply store.

I always use Mizani Spradiance Hair Gloss on my hair. I use it every 3 or 4 days to keep my hair shiny. I also use it when I "pull" my hair with the flat iron once every two weeks. I have found that this is one of the only products that doesn't weigh down my hair and assists the flat iron with straightening my hair. I pay about $25 for it (depends on which beauty supply you go to). I've tried cheaper ones and they just don't work as well.

I had a mini Aveda Hand Relief that I got free when I purchased my full size Aveda Foot Relief. I love the foot relief. It does amazing things for my feet. But, the Hand Relief...meh! Nothing special. The 4.2 fl. oz. size is $24. For $24 I want ZING! BANG! POW! I won't be purchasing this.

The one mask that I did do this month was a Anti-Aging Grape Seed Mask by Skin Benefits. I don't remember where I got it from or how much it costs but I like it. It smells very grapey and the paper mask fits my face very well. You keep it on for 15 minutes and it's very comfortable. Afterwards, your face does feel refreshed and renewed. Man! Just writing that makes me want to go do a mask treatment!

I also finished a Pampers Sensitive Baby Wipes. I think this pack was probably more for swatches than anything. I know that I purchased it while away from home (because it was a 6 pack) and it must have been my only alternative. I like unscented, sensitive baby wipes because I have sensitive skin. I don't know why the tiny pack though. I'd never buy one that small unless I had to.

And that's what went into the trash can this month. I didn't do anything fancy this month -- I kept it simple. Hopefully you found out about something new that you'd like to try.

OH!! I always try to add a non makeup item to the round up. Well folks, I have gotten heavy in the scrapbooking, card making, journaling arena. I have a pile of photos a mile high and didn't know what to do with them other than put them in a photo album and that's it. But, I'm a creative girl. I can't just do that! So, I've been scrapbooking. And, I've been card making. And, I've been having fun. If you've seen my IG, you've totally been bombarded with it. My tip for you? Find something that let's your creative juices flow. It helps with the stress of the day.

What did you use up this month? Did  you like it? Should we all buy it? Let me know!

Jul 30, 2014

Empties!

Hey there!

July is gone people!! What happened to it? Where the heck did it go? Didn't I just do an empties blog last week? Sighhhh. Guess not.

This month I used up my final 2 Whole Foods 365  shower gel ($1.99 at Wholefoods). I bought three of them (Herbal Mint & Citrus Grapefruit are pictured) over a year ago when I was on an all natural, really, really good for you kick. I bought everything all natural for about a month. Then I stopped. These bubble baths weren't great. They weren't horrible though.  They didn't lather as much as I would have liked. They smelled fine but they were so minty any other scent was unrecognizable. I won't buy them again.

There are two Avon Bubble Baths (2/$9.99 Avon Representative, Avon.com, Mall Kiosk), Blushing Kiss and Vanilla Cream. I love the Vanilla Cream. Blushing Kiss was just ok. On the whole thought, Avon Bubble Baths are my all time favorite bubble baths. Seriously, if you haven't tried them, find a rep, find a kiosk and get a bottle. They are do luxurious and rich. A cap full will get you lots if bubbles. I use 2 (3 on particularly stressful days!).

Someone on YouTube mentioned that they liked the Wal-Mart's Sonoma Spa bubble bath. At $2.97 a bottle (64oz), I was hoping that they were right. That would mean LOTS of luxurious bubble baths. Or not. These aren't good. I bought the vanilla sugar. It didn't smell like vanilla or sugar and it took darn near half the bottle to get any bubbles at all. Ok, about a sixth of the bottle. That is NOT an exaggeration.

There's my Secret deodorant ($2.47 for 2.6 oz) in  powder fresh scent. It's the only brand I use.

I used a bath bomb. I have NO idea who this us from. Could be dollar store. Could be Lush. Could be anything in between. It was nice. It was green. I don't think it had a scent. It was just fizzy in my bath water. I would repurchase it if I could remember who it was by.

I used up a razor. It was the BIC Soleil. My pitts aren't particular (sorry -- tmi??). I'm sure I didn't pay full price for these. I never do.

I finally tossed the eos shave cream in pomegranate raspberry. The bottle made it almost impossible to get the cream out. I tried to squeeze it and shake it towards the top -- nothing worked. I'm sure I left half the shave cream in there! I just got tired. I prefer canned shaving cream.

I used up my Sephora Super Loaded Age Defy Serum ($32 for 1 fl oz.). I'm trying something else right mow. I'm not in love with what I'm trying though. Not sure if I'll buy this one again or not (Damn you Garnier for changing your formula on my holy grail moisturizer!!). I'll make a decision in about a week or so.

I finally finished my Bare Minerals Correcting Concealer ($20 for .07 oz.). It took me over a year to finish this. That's why I don't mind the price tag. Folks, I've tried high end and low end and nothing, NOTHING matches my completion like this. I stopped trying. When you find the one, stop searching. Yes, I've already begin using my replacement one.

And last but not least, I finished a pack if Neutrogena Hydrating Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. Meh. They were just ok. They took initial makeup off. I always use my Purity cleanser to really take my makeup off. I'll buy these if they are on sale again.

And that my dears, is what is now in my trash. I feel kinda bad! For the last two months I had to spread my empties over 2 or 3 days. This time, just barely one post. I'll do better in August. I'll really try harder.

See the things I'll do for you fine folks?

You. Are.Welcome.

Empties!

Hey there!

We have come to the end of another month and I have brought to you my trash. I know, it just sounds so crazy to talk about what's in your trash BUT I love reading Empties blogs and Watching Empties videos so I figure 2 other people must like them too. So, here you go.

Let's start in the bath tub, shall we? The bubble bath shouldn't be any surprise to you. I have two Avon Bubble Baths (2/ $10) - Cucumber Melon and Warm Vanilla & Fig. The Cucumber Melon is blah, whatever but the Warm Vanilla & Fig is really nice. I have repurchased this one many times and yes, I have a spare.

I only have 1 Bath and Body Works Shower Gel ($11 ea at the time of this purchase) which is weird. But, I've had a lot of shower gels to try this month so I haven't finished much, I've just tried a lot. This one is a warm, spicy smell and is really nice. Not sure that I'd repurchase because B&BW come up with so many new shower gels you don't have to buy just any ole' one. You can only purchase the ones you love. I like this one but I don't love it.

On one of my many Ulta trips in April, I picked up a Be Happy Coconut Grove Cleansing Shower Gel. It was one of the 3 / $10 items that they had. Ummm, this one was crap. It did smell coconuty but it didn't lather and I had to use 1/3 of the bottle in order to get enough in the towel to go wash my body. I will never try this brand again. I promise!

Staying in the tub, I picked up a Pedi-Scrub Foot Buffer with Lavender Tea Tree Oil. My mom and I saw them in Marshalls for $3.99 and we thought it couldn't hurt to try it. It's nice. Once side "cleanses and moisturizes" and the other side scrubs your heels. Again, it was nice. I had no real complains but I had no real positive feedback either. It's basically a loofa made exclusively for my feet. If I see it for $2, I might think about it again but otherwise nah. No real plus behind it.

The bathroom is ground zero for candles. This month I have loved Target Sweet Spun Sugar ($5) and Bath and Body Works Pink Bubble Gum (3/ $10). I mentioned them both in my May favorites. I also used up a B&BW Providence Garden candle. Meh. It smelled ok but I probably won't buy it again. (BTW, I forgot to take a snapshot of the empty containers).

And the last tub item is the Bic Soleil Razor (3 for $4.99 - I'm sure I had a coupon of some sort or got them at a discount on a Target end cap). Nothing special. It was on sale. I like it.

For hair care I have an Organix Brand Luxurious Moroccan Argan Creme Conditioner ($7.99 but I always buy during BOGO free at Rite Aid). I love this. I really do. It smells wonderful and glides through your hair and after leaving it in my hair (under a conditioning cap) I have soft, bouncy hair. This brand is a staple in my house. I have stopped buying anything else. If you see something else in my empties it's because I'm trying to use it up. I'm in love and the honeymoon is far from over!!

You see 2 Philosophy Hope in A Jar ($10, Sephora) containers. One is regular and one has SPF in it. I don't like either of them. I purchased and tried them before the holidays and I am finally getting around to trashing the containers. I gave the regular one a 2 week try and the one with SPF a 3 day try. No thanks.

There are 2 facial wipes in this month's empties. I have a pack of CVS Brand Age Defying Towelettes ($4.99 but I'm sure I purchased during BOGO 1/2 or BOGO free). They were fine. I used them to remove swatches on my hand or makeup mistakes in the morning. I also had Simple Radiance Cleansing Wipes. I actually got these free when I purchased the Simple eye makeup remover. I didn't notice radiance but again, I used them for swatches and makeup mistakes. I probably won't purchase either of them again.

CVS Premium Cotton Rounds ($3.59 for 100 in this case - I always stock up when these BOGO free. They do that every quarter or so). Holy grail cotton round. I love that these are quilted on one side and smooth on the other. They don't tear up when wet. I go through a pack each month. I do have plans on trying something new (and more expensive) in the upcoming months but not for my eyes. I will still have these unless my new item is just beyond amazing (which I can't believe it is). More on that next month, maybe.

The final 2 GWP items from Lancôme have been tossed in the trash. I tried the Bienfait Multi-Vital Night Cream. It was super greasy and smelled weird. I tried to use it on my elbows and heels (always try to use your products up for something!) but it left grease marks on my clothes and sheets. In the end it wasn't worth it. I just had to toss it. I also tried the Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate. It did absolutely nothing. It was a waste of time really. I'm sad to say that almost nothing was good in this past GWP. Oh well.

I tried the Enregin Time Released Action Eye Cream from the Dollar Tree. I tried this several months ago. It didn't do anything good or bad. It was only a dollar though so no real loss.

And last but not least -- people I tried to like this! So many people do. It's the Studio 35 Beauty Brand (from Walgreens) Alpha Hydroxy Face Cream ($8.99). I used it for 2 months and the only thing that it did for my face was irritate it. It made my face red and itchy for about 15 minutes. I didn't like it for my face. You want to know where I did like it? My heels! It works beautifully on my heels. Would I buy it again -- for my heels? No. I have products for a third of the price that I use on my heels.

And there you have it folks -- my trash! LOL. These are the products that I used up in May. Spoiler alerts for June? Well, candles (of course), bubble bath and shower gel, cotton rounds and well...just wait and see!

Empties!

Hey there!

Folks, you are going to have to grab a snack. I have a large container of empties. It's ridiculous really.

So starting on the left - Assured brand Moisturizing Shave Cream for Women; Raspberry- I wasn't really finished with the container but it was about a year old. I don't know if that's good or bad but I decided I'd go ahead and just let it go. It's nice. It's shaving cream. I guess I'd buy it again.

Toothpaste! I am a Colgate girl. My dentist said it's best and I don't know if it's the truth or not but it's what I buy. The large one is Colgate Total Advanced Deep Clean Paste. The smaller one is Colgate Total Whitening Advanced Paste (see a trend -- I like paste not gel?). The other smaller one is a Crest 3D white. It was left over from a traveling jaunt. It's was fine but I prefer Colgate. Yes, of course, I'd repurchase.

Bath & Body Works Signature Vanillas Lemon Shower Gel. This is my FAVORITE shower gel EVA! I buy this in bulk the 2 or 3 times B&BW puts it out. I'm down to 1 bottle now and I am scared. I've been using the new bottle only on special occasions. Will I repurchase? Are you kidding? I will spend an entire paycheck on it.

Bath & Body Works Mini Candles - I love these minis. They let me "try before I buy" the large ones. I have Island Margarita, Pink Lemonade Poundcake (oh yes, baby!), Pineapple Mango & Peach Bellini. I would buy them all again. They smell really nice. Yes, I reuse the jars too.

Organix Rejuvenating Cherry Blossom Ginseng Conditioner - This is a fabulous conditioner. It smells good and it makes my hair nice and smooth. I will definitely repurchase.

CVS Keratin Straightening Conditioner - I thought it would be just as good as the Organix. It's good, yes, but it's not as good as Organix. Will I repurchase instead of Organix and save some money? Nope. Not worth it.

CVS Energize Moisturizing Body Wash - Oh yes ma'am or sir. This body wash is so nice and smells so citrusy and fresh. I like CVS brand body wash. They are just as good as some of the others that I buy. I buy them all the time.

Avon Blushing Kiss Bubble Bath - I keep Avon Bubble Bath a plenty. I love their bubble bath. It doesn't break me or my kiddo out and a little bit makes a ton of bubbles. This particular fragrance is a no. It smells like roses crushed and sprayed with rose scent. It's overpowering.

Secret Antiperspirant - Holy Grail deodorant. Can I say that? This one is in Powder Fresh. I don't buy anything else because nothing else works. I won't buy anything else EVER! Love it.

Annie eye razor - Yep. I use these bad boys to take care of the eyebrows. I like the curved shape of this brand. I'm already scared every time I shape up my brows. The curved handle makes me feel like I'm in control. I just bought a 3 pack and realized I currently have 3 other 3 packs with 2 left in each. LOL!

Covergirl Flamed Up Mega Curl Mascara, Almay Intense i-color Eyeliner in Purple Amethyst & Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick in Paranoid Purple. I love all three of these products. I wasn't done with any of them but they are casualties of my eye issue. Because I didn't know what was going on, I tossed them. I did find out recently that it's a pollen issue not some eye disease like I first feared. But, I had already put it in the empties bin and repurchased others so...

That baggie with a white tube with a red stripe is my prescription Clobetasol Propionate. I have a scalp issue that isn't dandruff. I use this every 3 days and I really don't have a choice but to repurchase it.

CVS Eye Makeup Remover Pads - First off, this burns the crap out of my eyes. I purchased like a super pack of them and then after the first pack experienced the burn. I used this pack to wipe swatches off my hands and clean up makeup mistakes. I will not repurchase and I will be soooo glad when I'm done with them.

Body Prescriptions Anti-Aging Facial Cleansing Wipes - meh. They didn't take off makeup or do anything at all. They were wet. I will never buy these again.

White Cloud Cotton Round - Nope. Not all cotton rounds are created equal. These were soft but if they got wet they would disintegrate. They were horrible when it came to removing eye makeup, which is why I purchased them. I prefer the CVS brand, which I have purchased

Elf Professional Bronzing Brush - This wasn't a good bronzing or blush brush at all. It wasn't full enough and it shed like crazy. Also, the color bled. Yep, red was everywhere. I love the Studio Blush Brush that ELF makes though. I have 2 of them. It just goes to show you that ELF brushes are hit or miss.

I also have some Sephora samples that I finished/discarded. I was going to tell you about those but I think I'll save it for another day.

And that's my cosmetic trash! Aren't you glad you grabbed that snack?
