Sunday Fun Day - It's A Haul!

Hey there!

Just FYI, this is a haul over a 2 week period. I've been picking up random things here and there and now, I'm finally ready to share them with you!

I've mentioned in an empties that I enjoying adding lavender Epsom salts to my bath. I normally pick up smaller packs from Dollar Tree but the Target Up and Up brand was a good deal. I'll try them out but I can't imagine that it's any different than the Dollar Tree one.

Yep! I picked up another pack of Pure & Gentle Make-up Remover Wipes from Walmart. I have really begun to like these! They are nice and wet and most days I can use 1 wipe and get off all of my makeup. They aren't better than my Wet n Wild makeup wipes but they are a verrrrrry close second. And, the price is right.

I found Honeymania shower gel from The Body Shop at my local Marshalls. I've mentioned that any time I see a shower gel from The Body Shop, I am going to grab it. They smell so good and they lather so well. They had a peach one but I've already sniffed that one so I wanted to try a new one.

Also at Marshalls I found an Essie nail polish in Using My Maiden Name. It appears to be a beautiful, slightly iridescent light purple. I also got a purple from NYC at Walmart. Purple Pizzazz Frost is a darker iridescent purple. I also picked up Strip Me Off by NYC. It's a base coat that you can peel off. I thought this would be great with any glitter polish that I use.

And, I lucked up during a Dollar Tree trip. I found 2 Milani Liquid Lip Colors. Neither of them have a name so I have to go with "the brown one" and "the fuchsia one". Perfect names in my opinion.

See, I didn't pickup much. I could have picked up quite a bit more but I really wanted to scale back my purchases. I went into Ulta and came out with nothing. NOTHING! I also went into the makeup section of Kohls and came away with .... NOTHING! See, I'm doing well.

But, why I scaled down my purchases, I'm not going to never purchase anything else. You know I'm not going to do that! What kind of blogger would I be if I didn't buy things to blog about??

It's A Haul Y'all! - Five Below

Hey There!

It's an odd haul to be sure. It is indeed a mish mash of stuff.

I drove to a new Five Below yesterday just to see what it had inside and what shopping plaza it was in. If you don't know what Five Below is or don't have one near you, it's a Dollar Tree-esque store where everything is under five dollars. It's not the "same" as the dollar store in that they don't have everything that you'd ever need for your home for one dollar. It is the "same" as in cute things that you didn't know you needed until you saw them...and now you can't live without them.

I picked up 3 packs of hair elastic bands. It sounds a bit much to pick up 56 hair elastic bands but they were 3 for $5 and I wanted all of these colors. And, I have to split them with the kiddo. So, no, it's not a bit much. Well, it kinda is.

I have never wanted to purchase Honey by Marc Jacobs. I've never sniffed it. Five Below had all of their imitation perfumes out so that I could take a sniff. Well, I did take a sniff and I liked it. It's soft and honeyish. The FB version doesn't last very long but, it was $5 so it's ok. And, isn't that bottle the cutest? Yes it is!

I like REVO lip balms. I just can't stand paying $2.99 for a full size (and I'll never finish that!). But, paying $3 for 3 mini sizes, well that's a bargain! And, I might actually finish these 3.

No, the Wet n Wild Under The Sheets makeup remover towelettes weren't at FB. They were below five dollars though. They are my favorite makeup remover wipes and I had run out. I hadn't been in a hurry to replace them though because I have been trying new makeup remover wipes. I will try new ones for a while and then my face will ask, very quietly, "can we have the wipes we love, please?". Why yes, face. Yes we can.

So that's what I bought. Not anything amazing or fantastic. Just stuff that I needed, kinda.

Like I said, things that I didn't know that I needed until I saw them. And then I couldn't live without them.

It's A Haul Y'all! - Target - Ava and Viv & Merona

Hey There!

I went to Target!

That's not new!

But, it's not often that I go to Target and look at their clothes (besides tops) because their jeans and pants don't often fit my curvy shape. I find that the plus sized pants from Target have no waist line. The waist and hips are the same size. I don't know about you but my waist and hips are not the same! I saw the Ava and Viv brand a few months ago but because of my prior experience, I just kept going.

Friday I went into a different Target and saw the line and saw the jeans that they had. I decided, what the hay?! I've got to try on these t-shirts so I'll try on their jeans too.

MAN!!! These jeans are the business! They fit wonderfully! Ava and Viv understand that my waist is smaller than my hips. The dark blue wash complements my shape and they were on sale for $17 and change so they jumped into my cart. Did I mention that they are skinny jeans? Yeah, skinny! Jeans in sizes 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 don't often look skinny when they say skinny but these looked skinny! I'll let you know how they wear but I'm excited to try them!

I also picked up some t-shirts because they were $5. They aren't the Ava and Viv, they are Merona brand. These are a silky material so I can dress them up a bit for dinner or lunch out. I have plenty of junk t-shirts but I don't have any nicer t-shirts. I wanted to get more but the other styles of t-shirts didn't look right on me when I tried them on.

This is not a large haul, I know, but enough to slowly add to my closet. When I moved, I discarded some things that no longer fit right or hot rips or tears or were worn out. I decided I'd slowly add thing back into my wardrobe.

Have you been to Target lately? Do you see the new clothing lines that they've added? What do you think?

It's A Haul Y'all!

Hey there!

The kiddo and I decided that we needed to explore our new neighborhood. We had a good breakfast at a local restaurant Another Broken Egg. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw the coffee cup from the restaurant. We were with friends so I didn't want to take too many pictures of my food. And, if you stay tuned, in a few days I'll explain what the whole neighborhood restaurant quest is.

But, after getting some fuel in my belly, the kiddo and I went shopping! We found a Wally World (that is not close to me at all. I probably won't go back to that location) and stocked up on bubble bath and picked up curtains. We also traipsed to Target and Home Depot (you know how it is). We needed to get the basics (cleaning supplies, towels, etc.). Then... THEN we went to the clothing stores!!!!!

I didn't really need anything but I wanted to show the kiddo what stores were in our area. She, of course, found some great stuff at Old Navy and Claires. Mama went to a few other stores.

I have mentioned Charming Charlie before. It's a cute little jewelry, clothing, accessory store. I like it because they have lots of sales that makes their jewelry a very good price AND when we went the clearance jewelry was BOGO. The kiddo scored big time! I was looking for rose gold pieces to match my new necklace from Bauble Bar. Charming Charlie has soooo many rose gold pieces that I could choose from. I went right to the back of the store to see if I could find some discounted rose gold pieces. They did not disappoint! I got these great earrings and beaded wrap bracelet. The bracelet was $4.99 (originally $10) and the earrings were $3.99 (originally $8), so my total price was $4.99 plus tax! I saved $13. Waaaaay to go!

The kiddo and I also swung into Bath & Bodyworks to pick up some Wallflowers fragrance plugs for the new place. I have the plain white ones but I wanted a cute one for my bedroom and I wanted the kiddo to pick a cute one for her bedroom. I didn't end up necessarily picking a "cute" one. I just picked a grey flower top one. My bedroom is silver, green and white so the grey blends in very well. The kiddo got the blue butterfly fragrance plug. She picked up hers because she liked it, not necessarily because it fit the room decor.

I don't normally walk into certain stores. I see the name and I just figure everything inside is super expensive. I should know better than that! Even more pricey stores have a discount area. And, White House Black Market is one of those stores. I hustled my booty to the back of the store and found three really cute tops!

The first top has already been on a test drive. It's a larger, flowing black and white striped three quarter length sleeves (originally $58, purchased for $29.99). It's light weight so it's perfect for summer visits to place like the movies or restaurants -- you know, places where the AC is going to blowing like crazy. I wore a basic, white, spaghetti strap tank top. I think next time I'll wear a tank (either black or white works) with wider straps. The top sleeves go where they want to and I kept being very conscious of whether or not my bra strap was showing. Bigger straps would have meant that I wouldn't have cared if the tank strap showed because they would have covered my bra straps.

The mint green tank top is really fun (originally $84, purchased for $19.99). It's a satiny tank that will look great under a jacket or wrap (and I am soooo into wraps right now). The straps are embellished with little rhinestone cuffs to just give it a bit of dazzle. I need some dazzle in my wardrobe. I'm glad this top has joined my closet!

I also added a simple pale grey tank to my wardrobe. It's basic and it was a good price (originally $40, purchased for $9.99). I don't have a tank this color or this design. I thought the design classed it up a bit so I think it will be nice for a work tank. Again, this would be a great with a plain jacket.

For a girl not looking for anything, I got pretty lucky this time! I just hope I get great deals like this every time I got shopping with the kiddo.

It's A Haul Y'all!

Hey there!

It's a haul y'all!

I took my "sis'er" to birthday dinner Friday night (and it was amazing Thai food) and we of course had to stop by Target and Dollar Tree before going home. The restaurant that we went to is in a different neighborhood from ours and we all know that the stores in different neighborhoods have different items. Stores cater to their demographics and sometimes they get in little goodies that your stores don't have. Shopaholics like me and her have to check them out!

A few of the items I went ahead and road tested for you. I find that I do a lot of previews and only half of the reviews. Things like cookies and lip balms can get insta-reviews because really, you know pretty quickly if you like them or not. Hair color and nail polish remover take a little more time.

The first (and most important) item that you see are Cotton Candy Oreo cookies. You KNOW I love cotton candy. My sister bought me cotton candy for Christmas, because I love it so much. Now, let me just say, I am mad and glad that Nabisco keeps inventing limited edition cookies for me to taste test. Every time I turn around they have some new cookie that I need to try. Well, I wasn't disappointed by this one. They were are so tasty! They aren't a strong cotton candy taste -- they have a more subtle flavor combined with the vanilla cookie. They are delicious. If you see them, grab them. You won't be disappointed.

To the left of the cookies you see a Profusion Lips Moisturizing Tinted Lip Balm. We picked up this little baby at the Dollar Tree. Let me preface this by saying, I didn't want to purchase this. I have so many lip balms and I just reviewed the Rimmel London Keep Calm lip balm (link to that review here). I didn't want to test drive another balm but I felt like I couldn't let my thousands (twelve) readers down! When I saw this at the Dollar Tree I knew that I needed to try it for you good people.

I forgot to snap a quick pic of the other flavors, but I remember bubble gum (because it almost came home with me), and in my research I saw watermelon and peach. I purchased the grape lip tint. I must say that it didn't smell very grapey. It was just a hint of grape but not bad. It went on smooth as butter. I mean it went on JUST as smooth as a Maybelline Baby Lip Balm. And, it lasts for quite a long time. My lips were very moisturized. For a $1 product I was very pleased. Heck, for a $3 product I'd probably be very pleased!

Dollar Tree has begun really beefing up their L.A. Colors Nail Polish line. I normally breeze right past (because I own most of the ones that I want) but my sis'ser was looking at them. When she pulled out this one in Spring Flirt, I grabbed it. It's a blue base with pink, blue and shimmer confetti. I had to get this. I haven't worn it yet but this polish is going to happen and it's probably going to happen soon! L.A. Colors polishes have typically been hit or miss from me so I will have to report back on if this one makes the grade.

I've seen quite a few YouTubers talk about these Sassy + Chic Soak Off Gel Wraps. I don't have gel nails but I've also heard that it works well on glitter polish. That was what I really wanted to try it for because we all know how difficult glitter or textured nail polishes can be to remove. I don't use glitter or textured polish often (for that very reason) but when I do, I know that it's a beast to remove. I'm hoping that these help out. If so, they are definitely worth the price.

And, the real reason I stepped into Target, Friday was that box on the right. Let's not name it please (Clairol Natural Instincts Crema Keratina Hair Color in Chocolate Brown). Avert your eyes and look elsewhere. Let's pretend that I just wanted to change up my hair color a tiny but instead of the need to get rid of those pesky gray hairs that have now taken over. Now, I've never colored my hair before but my mom and both of my sisters do it ALL the time. This is the brand that my mom uses and it's not permanent so I thought I'd give it a go. It washes out in 28 shampoos but mom says it lasts maybe 6 or 7 shampoos. It's ammonia-free with keratin protection. I know that I will have to keep my hair super hydrated once I color it and take the best care ever. I'll do my best to do a really in-depth review of this once I get my feelings right about having to purchase it.

And that's all the beauty related items that I picked up this time. I mean I did get shelf paper and fabric softener and coffee and planner stickers but those items got put away quickly. Anything that's not put away in my house right now will get lost.

What have you been finding in your discount stores? Have you purchased any of the new summer polish colors that EVERYONE seems to be coming out with? Are you jazzing up your hair for the season? What are you loving now that the weather is changing?

It's A Haul Y'all! - Dollar Tree

Hey there!!

I thought we'd have a little fun today and talk about what I bought at the 4 Dollar Tree's that I went to. Now, I won't talk about all of the food items that I purchased because some went in the freezer and some went in my tummy, you know the drill. But, after I spend a few weeks trying some of the freezer items and food items that are new to me, I'll come back and tell you folks what I thought of them.

It has been a while since I've done a Dollar Tree crawl (like a pub crawl but sober and nothing to do with alcohol so, not like a pub crawl at all). There are 2 Dollar Trees near me but they don't always have what I want so sometimes I have to travel in order to find fun things. That's what I did this time.

I'll start off with the cleaning type stuff. I didn't need much but I have seen everyone and their mother use the Electronics Wipes. It says you can use them on cell phones, televisions, laptops, tablets and more. So far I've used them on my laptop, cell phone and the TV. They worked. The stuff is clean. For a dollar, I have no complaints at all. I also got Spic and Span Fashion Long Cuff Latex Gloves (for cleaning) and 2 sets of 2 green, square plastic bins. I like to hide things in bins and these are perfect for that. They are nice  and sturdy.

Next are my health and beauty aid products. I picked up a brush and comb set for the hair brush. I have fine baby hairs that stick up in the front of my hair and on days when I decide to rock a ponytail I have to slick them down a bit. This brush is the perfect size and the bristles are just right. I'll probably toss the comb. It's too small and hard for a human to use. I picked up an L.A. Colors nail polish in Wired. It's the perfect Tardis Blue for my toes. I'm a HUGE Dr. Who fan and I do polish my nails in Tardis colors when Dr. Who comes back on for the season. Doesn't everyone?

I picked up a cute slanted tweezer to keep at work because...well...sometimes I get hairs in embarrassing places. There! I've said it. I have the occasional beard and side burn hair and I need to take care of the situation! Don't judge me!

You see that hair doughnut? I'm not going to use it in my hair at all (nor is it an edible doughnut -- such a terrible name). I've heard many people talk about how they use this to clean their makeup brushes. I plan on trying it out. I'll let you know how it works.

Everyone has been going on and on about the Valentines items that have come out at the Dollar Tree. The YouTubers say that you have to get in early and get out quick if you want anything. I only wanted a few things. I have a pair of Valentines socks pictured (and a regular pair too) but I also picked up 2 other pair for the kiddo. I also got 3 types of washi tape because I do decorate my planner as well as my calendar at work. I can also decorate almost anything with washi tape. You can just peel it off when you get tired of it. The candle holder isn't exactly Valentines-ish but it was the last one that they had and I wanted it.

Last but not least are just a few random things. Yes, those are Double Chocolatey Rice Krispy Treats and Lance Lem-O-Lunch cookies. The kiddo likes the Rice Krispy Treats and I love the Lemon cookies. Don't sleep on snacks at the Dollar Tree!

I picked up wine themed napkins because my Wine Club occasionally reads books. Wait. No, my Book Club occasionally drinks wine. Yes. That's right.  I also picked up silver sparkly flickering effect LED Tealight Candles because, why wouldn't you? I put one in my silver candle holder and it's darling! They aren't bright enough to bring home a ship in a storm or to read by but they are nice and could be considered romantic.

And that's what I bought from 4 different Dollar Trees. Like I said I did pick up some food items but I'd like to review each item and let you know what I thought. I can tell you that while not everything is a bargain at Dollar Tree, it's always fun to shop there!

It's A Haul Y'all! - Bath and Body Works

Hey there!!

Darn it Bath and Body Works! You keep having sales and I keep buying things! I didn't go cray-cray. I only bought a few things each time so just like yesterday, we are talking a teeny tiny haul.

My mom and I went to the mall today (she was getting some car work done so we waited at the mall until they were finished) and while we were there, we visited Bath and Body Works for probably the 3rd or 4th time since Thanksgiving. Like I said, I didn't get a bunch of stuff but I thought I'd show you nice people what I bought.

I have fallen in love with the B&BW foaming soaps. My recent soap purchases were the Black Cherry Merlot (what??! it's so good), Crisp Morning Air (if crisp morning air smells like Macintosh apples!!) and Sapphire Plum (just plain ahhhhh). I prefer the foaming soaps to the others because the others have little seed things in them. The little seed things get under your nails and they are hard to clean out of the sink. The foaming soaps just plan work better, in my opinion.

During the $8 candle sale, I was prepared to go all ham on the credit card but it turns out that there were only 2 scents that I wanted to add to my collection. I smelled a lot of candles but I had already decided I only wanted to get fragrances that were different than what I already had at home. I was surprised that after all that sniffing, I only found 2 things that rocked my world. I got the Peach Bellini because it smells so good and the container is so gorgeous. I almost bought 2 so that I could have matching containers after the candles were gone! I also picked up the Holiday scented candle. It smells like red hots (food, again, big surprise) and I can only imagine that my house smelling like red hots is a good thing.

And, believe it or not, I only purchased 1 shower gel. I bought Honeycrisp Apple & Buttered Rum Orchard (again with the food scents). It really does smell all apple orchard-like (not sure where the buttered rum comes in). I have several B&BW shower gels (plus other brands that I've been trying out) and I really want to use some of them up before bringing more scents into the house. Apparently February, March and April of this past year saw so many shower gel hauls that I need to wash up a little more before I add to that collection.

I told you that you'd be proud of me! All my B&BW on sale and not too much. I really am trying to be smarter in my purchases this year. And, there is only so much money to go around and I'd like to make sure I can spend it where I'd like.

Did you check out the semi-annual clearance or are you going to wait for the next sale (in, like, a few weeks)? Do you already have a ridiculous amount of Bath and Body Works products in your house or do you need to get just a little bit more?

It's A Haul Y'all! - Teeny Tiny Nail Polish Haul

Hey there!!

This is just a teeny tiny haul this time. I went to Target and Walgreens and they had nail polish on sale. I, of course, don't need any new polish but these colors were really too cute to pass up.

Walgreens had some holiday Sinful Colors polishes on sale. I picked up these really pretty, sparkle toppers in Gilded and Holiday Rebel. I've already worn one of them and already have an opinion. You have to wait until Monday to see which one and if I liked it or not.

I also picked up 4 of the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polishes in Plummet, Navy Fleet, Slick Slade and Expresso. Plummet is a nice, deep dark plum and Navy Fleet is a hunter green (not navy at all...hmmmm). Slick Slate is a muddy, gray brown, dirty cement color and Expresso is a gorgeous pinky mocha color. I love those colors. They are creamy warm colors, perfect for winter. I am soooo going to enjoy them.

So that was just a little quick polish haul. I can't wait to try out these new colors. I may have to change out every 4 days to get everything in!

It's A Haul Y'all! - e.l.f.

Hey there!!

No, I'm not ashamed. No, I don't care if you think I should be ashamed. I know it looks like a lot of stuff (and it is) but it was during the e.l.f. 50% off sale! I needed stuff and just generally wanted stuff.

I picked up 3 lip liners (Bitter, Bark and Spice) because most of my liners are light. I had several darker ones like these but lip liners go fast at my makeup table. These three all looked nice and look! They all have sharpeners!

I have to have my Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Gel. I've tried more expensive ones but this one just works! This is a backup one cause you know I'm about to toss one and open another.

I picked up 3 lipsticks in total - Rich Raspberry, Barley Bitten and Rosy-Go-Round. I have one from my last haul but the color wasn't exactly what I was looking for. One of these has to be a keeper.

I also ordered a lip exfoliator but I may have waited too long. My lips have been crazy for about a week. They began peeling and then they were raw. I guess that's the way it's supposed to be. I'm ready for them to be healed!

I'm going to give this Complete Coverage Concealer in medium and Flawless Finish Foundation in Caramel a chance. They might be the right color. Or, I might have to pass them on. We'll see.

I told you that I was going to purchase the blush palette in light. I have the one in dark already and it stays on my counter. I NEVER put it away. I figure this palette will be the same.

The Baked Highlighters looked too pretty to pass up. I've been on a highlighter quest lately. Hopefully these will work well and not make me look like a glitter ball.

The bronzer is one that came highly recommended. I hope I don't have to disown that friend. Bad makeup recommendations will mess a friendship up! (Just kidding-not kidding).

And I had to stock up on my brushes. The kabuki was free but I already love the powder and blush brush. If you are starting out or hell, just looking for good makeup brushes, you want to try out the e.l.f. studio line.

Now that I have told you all about my e.l.f. goodies and I have taken pictures, I can start using my products. I'm excited. I'll let you know how it goes!!

It's A Haul Y'all! - Aldi

Hey there!!

I've been laid up for the past few days. I hate being laid up. I always feel that I have so much that needs to be done but every now and then my body shows me who's boss and says, "Girl sit your tail down somewhere!". I didn't have a choice this time. I sat down.

But, before I say down, I went to an Aldi grocery store a few miles away from my normal one and stocked up on some needs. Now, I use to always forget that Aldi even existed. I'd see it and go right past the store. But, so many good people on YouTube talk about how fabulous Aldi is (and it is!), I now remember to go in and join the "in" crowd.

They do have quite a few staples that I enjoy as a part of my normal Aldi shopping routine, now that I go every week or so. You see those Fit & Active Cheddar Cheese Rice Snacks ($1.99)? That bag will go to work and when I am feeling peckish, I will pull out 5 or 6 of them and munch away. The Friendly Farms Vanilla Caramel coffee creamer ($2.19) has become my go to flavor recently. It tastes as good as the name brand but it's cheaper. It's even cheaper than the Wally World brand!

The Millville Fruity Rice is one of the cereals that I grab for the kiddo (okay, okay! I eat them too!). This one is $1.79 as compared to the name brand at $2.58 and even the Wally World brand at $2.48. They all taste the same to me and the kiddo has never complained.

I also like Aldi produce. They have a full produce section with all of the things I need. Green onions, multi colored peppers, potatoes, different varieties of squash, etc. I use to think that I needed a grocery store with a TON of vegetables to choose from. Then I realized I only look at those other things. I don't actually buy them. Now I just go to Aldi for normal, everyday things and I'll branch out to other stores if I need to. This week I only needed baby bella mushrooms ($1.79) and sweet butter lettuce ($1.99).

I picked up 4 different cans of canned fruit. I know that may be a bit controversial but, I can't eat fresh peaches, pears, apples, cherries, etc. I don't know why, but after the kiddo was born I tried to eat a peach and my lips turned inside out and my throat swelled. I've tested the waters over the years with different fruit and I still get the same reaction. But, I can eat cooked fruit and canned fruit has been cooked. So, I can get my fruit by purchasing the canned fruit. Aldi has them for $.89, which is only savings of about $.10 or $.15 cents but it adds up, you know.

I also use their tissue ($4.99 for a 12 count double roll). I'm particular about my "behind tissue" and oddly enough, this one makes the cut.

Their coffees for the Keurig machine work well. I just wish they had a decaf selection but for $4.79, I'll take it. The unsalted butter was $2.29 (I can't tell a difference) and their pure vanilla was $1.99.

The kiddo tried the Bremer Frozen Garlic Chicken and veggies ($2.99) and she liked it just as good as the Birds Eye Voila Frozen Garlic Chicken and veggies. I also picked up that box of Priano Four Cheese Risotto because it was on sale for $.69! Can you believe it? Me neither. Not sure how it will taste but even if it sucks, it was only $.69.

SO my cash register total was $32.33. Had I gone to my normally Wally World, it would have run me $43.59. That's more than 25% savings! If that doesn't excite you, I don't know what will!!

I like shopping at Aldi and plan to make it a part of my savings plan. Have you ever been? What do you think of the selection?

It's A Haul Y'all! - Dollar Tree, Marshall's, Big Lots & Ross

Hey there!

It's been a while since I posted an honest to goodness, random haul. I spent Saturday morning in the streets and the result is a trunk full o'goodies!

BATH AND COSMETICS - I made a point of stopping into my local Dollar Tree because one of my YouTube Gals, Frugal, Fun & Fabulous (if you aren't watching her, you are making poor life choices) recommended the Daily Defense Body Wash with Argon Oil. I'm excited to try it because it does smell really good. She also found some really cute tote bags and I found the one that you see as a background in all the pictures. Isn't that cute as a button?! Yes it is! I also got my e.l.f. Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara. I actually use both sides to set my brows after I use my Anastasia Brow Wiz.

From Big Lots I picked up 2 fragrances that I thought might be delicate enough for me to try (and if not, they're only $1). I got the Touch Heart (their impression of Coach Love by Coach) and Stunner (their impression of Bombshell by Victoria's Secret). At first sniff Touch Heart might work, Stunner may be a bit much for me.  I'll let you know.

Marshalls gifted me with a Body Shop Vineyard Peach Shower Gel (by gifted I mean I purchased). I've had a raspberry shower gel from them and loved it. This one was $3.99, well worth a trip to my house. I also picked up a Revive Makeup Blending Applicator. I've never used a sponge for my face and I wanted to see if this would do anything magical. I'll report back.

FOOD - It shouldn't surprise you that food is a part of my haul. Big Lots had this Winter Wonderland Gingerbread Man coffee. It was decent. I have to brew it on 6 oz (the smallest size) in order to get decent flavor from it. Either Ross or Marshalls (can't remember) had these two Meyer Lemon Olive Oil Blends for $3.99. I love cooking with oil blends and I don't have this flavor. I figure I'll be able to add this to salad dressings or other raw foods.

HOME "STUFF" - And second to last, is my home haul. I had to pick up some command strips to hang a picture. I saw a cute grocery list and pen set at Marshalls and the Dollar Tree had some Glade solid air fresheners in Pure Vanilla Joy. I don't normally use solid air fresheners but you can't very well light a candle at work and get away with it (well, I can't). I picked up 2 in case I liked it. If I don't, I can always use it outside in the storage closet.

And my favorite buy of them all are my London pajamas! I don't know if I've ever mentioned it but I'm British (in my head). Seriously, I am an Anglophile. I have several items all over my house with Union Jacks, a double decker bus, and several pictures all representing my love of England. Those closest to me know that an authentic piece of Cadbury's chocolate and some ribena (though not at the same time) win me over every time. So, while roaming the aisles of Ross Department Store I came across these pjs, I didn't look at the price, just the size (but was happy that they were only $16.99). And as I write this post, I'm sitting oh so cozy in my freshly laundered, brand new pjs.

What did you pick up this weekend? Was it a deal or a splurge?
