Empties!

Sorry good people. This empties is kinda late. I normally like to post my empties at the very end of the month or the first or second day. Today is the 6th day of the month. Not too far in but, you know. So, today I'm taking a little bit of time away from unpacking boxes to chit chat with some of my favorite folks!

This month I did go through quite a bit of products. In the bath I used two Sonoma Spa Bubble Baths this month. I finished one in Ocean Spa and one in Milk & Honey. Both of them are really nice. I've begun using these more than the others that I have. I like them because the price is right and they have so many different fragrances that they can match my mood. I will always repurchase these.

I also finished an Avon Bubble Bath in Peony Blossom. It's a strong scent and very floral. I'm not a big floral scented person so it was nice but I probably won't buy it again. I used a shower gel from a set that my sister got me for Christmas. It was in the scent Pomegranate Noir. It boasts of a scent of Exotic Spices and exquisite flowers. It was nice but didn't lather very well and the scent wasn't very strong. I probably wouldn't purchase that one.  

I did finish a Body Shop Vineyard Peach Shower Gel. Yum! I picked it up at either TJMaxx or Marshalls and if I EVA see it again, I'm picking up three. It's fantastic! It smells good, lathers great and make my bathroom spa like! And, I also finished a Bath & Bodyworks Malibu Heat shower gel. It smelled ok. It, of course, lathered very well. The scent didn't wow me like I thought it would so I probably won't buy it again.

I finished my holy grail face wipes Wet n Wild Under The Sheets. I love these. I didn't have them for about 2 or 3 weeks and then I found a Wally World that had them in stock. I grabbed 2 (cause that's all they had!). They take off the makeup and they don't dry out the skin. It's great. The other good face wipe was the Clean and Clear Makeup Dissolving Facial Cleaning Wipe. I got these when I was out of my WnW ones. These are good too. I wouldn't kick them out of bed at night. In a pinch, I'd totally use these.

The other two wipes are not favorites at all. The Publix Makeup Remover wipes are horrible. They are wet and that's just it. I used them to remove swatches. The Giovani D-Tox System wipes were horrible. I had heard so many great things about them and I was so excited to try them. Not a fan -- really, really not a fan. They were oily and didn't remove any makeup at all. I tried one or two and then I just put them in the empties bin. It wasn't worth going any further.

I had random moisturization this month. I used not one, but two small H2O Targeted Care foot creams. I have a whole post about my love for this stuff. It's no surprise that I finished up two. I got mine from T.J.Maxx. If you find the full size of this stuff, GET IT!! Your feet will thank you.

My holy grail body lotion is Jergens Original Scent Dry Skin Moisturizer. I. Love. This. Stuff. It has a slightly cherry scent and it's nice and creamy. Not watery at all. I have other lotions but this is my favorite. The coconut body cream next to it is from the Dollar Tree. It was ok, for a dollar. The problem was, I only had it for a few months and it went rancid. It was slightly coconutty. Yes, I got my dollars worth. No, I wouldn't buy it again.

I used up a Secret Deodorant. No surprise there. It's the only deodorant I use. I tried a Cucumber Natural Essence Mask before I went to get portions of my face cut off (I mention why here). It was nice and I'd certainly use it again.

I used a mini Zoya Nail Polish Remover. I love this stuff. It's expensive but it works well and I feel like it's not as harsh on my nails. I finished a L'Oreal Shampoo trial. I've said it so many times. I like getting these minis but I really can't tell much with just a sample. I guess it was good. I also finished a package of bath salts that came in a Christmas gift. It was nice. I can't remember the fragrance though.

And that's what I threw out last Month. I think that was a pretty good green trash can haul. What did you toss out this month? How many would you repurchase?

I know that I say it every month but, I didn't use a lot of product this month. Oh, sure, I used bath products because everyone has to stay clean. But, other than that it was a lean month. Not sure why but oh well!

I only finished one Avon Bubble Bath (2 for $9.99). I used up a Frosted Winterberry bubble bath. I think it's a seasonal one and it was pretty nice but I won't go stalking it. If I find another one I'll buy it. If not, c'est la vie! I also used a Sonoma Spa Bubble Bath in Lavender ($2.97). I liked it pretty well. It smelled light and fresh like you'd think lavender would smell, so I was pleased and have already repurchased it.

I finished a sample size of the Caress Fine Fragrances body wash in Adore Forever. It was very nice, lathered super well but the fragrance was strong. It really is like bathing with a perfume. While I liked it, I'd prefer a softer scent.

This month's plastic bag contained a Lush Fizzy Bath Bomb in Fluffy Egg ($5.95). The Lush website calls it an "Easter egg-shaped", "Candy-scented fizzer"-- vanilla cotton candy is what they say. It is sweet smelling, I'll give them that. And it fizzes like no body's business. I don't know that I'd say vanilla cotton candy scent though. I'd just say sweet. The tub turned bright pink and while I wanted to show you the picture of it...I decided against it. I used the whole thing in one go and over all I'd say it was worth it. I'd purchase it again.

I didn't finish these face wipes. These Olay Fresh Effects Deluxe Make-up Removal Cloths ($4.69) turned my face red and itchy. I should have known. Olay products don't play well with my skin. I wanted them to work but nope! I didn't even finish for fear of severe damage.

And I used up two of my regulars. For toothpaste this month, I used Crest Tartar Protection Whitening Cool Mint Paste. I always use a tartar control paste from either Crest or Colgate. I like paste over gel and cool mint over the other flavors. I don't think my teeth were any whiter than normal but no one said my breath was stinky. I also used a Bic Soleil 3 blade razor with a moisturizing strip. I don't know if the third blade makes a difference under my arm but I didn't like that moisturizing strip, that's for sure. It serves no purpose in my book and I don't plan to seek it out. Plan 2 blade Bic razors are just fine with me!

So I'm ready to toss the stuff in the big green tub and add the stuff I've already used up in May! Maybe there will be more stuff. Who knows?!

Did you have some real winners in your empties this month? Did you repurchase a lot of the stuff that you tossed or did you bid them good riddance and try something else? Do you recommend something new?

I'm pulling out the new green empties tub to show you my trash! It's not super full but it so bubble bathy. I guess that means March was a very clean month for me.

I finished quite a few bubble baths this month. I finished up two Avon Bubble Baths. I used up a Vanilla Cream and a Peppermint Vanilla Bubble Bath. I loved the Peppermint Vanilla but I think it's seasonal. I'm going to check the Avon outlet book for it and if I see it, I'm grabbing 6!! I used a Sonoma Spa Bubble Bath in Japanese Cherry Blossom. It smelled very nice -- not a heavy cherry blossom scent as some of them tend to be.

I only used up 1 body wash and that was the Vitabath in Wild Red Cherry. Oh. My. Gosh. It smelled so darned good! It smells like a cherry lifesaver. You just want to bathe in it over and over again. I said that I wouldn't purchase anymore body washes because I have a ton, but I'd get this one. Let it be known!!

That yukky plastic bag contained a Lush Fizzy Bath Bomb in The Enchanter. Now, when I looked online to do research, it appeared that this was a limited edition bath bomb. I do know that it was at least a year old (don't judge me!) but I forgot about it until recently. I got about 3 baths out of it (cause $6.95 cannot go for one bath!) and it was delightful. If you've never had a Lush Bath Bomb, you need to treat yourself. Do like I do and break it and use it 3 or 4 times. You'll be glad that you did.

Yep! That's a Secret Deodorant. I can't fool you smart people. There's also a Mizani Spradiance High Gloss Serum. The kiddo and I LOVE this. We go through a bottle every 2 months are so. I also have 2 "not empty but so done" items. My small container of Make Up For Ever HD Primer is going bye bye. It's over a year old and it was a bit more liquidy than I think it should be. It was good but doesn't come close to the Hourglass one that I love. And, my Kiehls Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter is in the trash because it went rancid quickly. I think it was bad when they sent it to me as a sample. No worries though. It was a good product but I wouldn't pay for the full size.

I finished 2 face wipes. The Wet n Wild Under The Sheets makeup remover is my jam! It's wet enough and removes makeup like a champ BUT I have a hard time finding it. It's only at random Walgreens. So, next time I see it, I'm getting 2. The other face wipe pack probably still has about 2 left in it. I couldn't do it anymore. It's the Global Beauty Care Retinol Cleansing Cloths from the Dollar Tree. They are horrible. It's like wiping water on your face with a facial tissue. They are thin and very delicate. The makeup on my face isn't delicate and I need something strong to take it off. I will not repurchase these.

And last but not least, I finished 2 L'Oreal Age Perfect trial sized products. I finished a Cell Renewal Serum and a Day Cream. I mentioned before that the cell renewal serum smells great, goes into my skin perfectly but I don't see the benefits. I don't feel like my cells have renewed but you know what? If I like what it's doing, maybe that's reason enough to keep buying it. I dunno. I have repurchased another sample size of the day cream. Even so, I'm not sure that I'm 100% on board with it. I might get another cell renewal serum and then go back to my summer face moisturizer and see if that works.

Now we get to toss the stuff from the green basket, into the big trash basket. Like I said, it didn't seem like a lot but I say that every month. I guess when you see other people's empties, you feel like you should have more. Well, I don't and I guess that's ok.

What in your trash this month? Same ole, same ole from last month or something exciting and new? If I try to have something great in mine next month, you should try to as well!

Do  you see my new green empties tub? The cute but small green fabric basket that I was using wasn't large enough to hold all of my Health and Beauty Aid trash. This one from the Dollar Tree is big enough.

So this month I finished two Avon Bubble Baths. I used up a Lavender Garden Bubble Bath and a Pomegranate & Peony Bubble Bath. I like Avon Bubble Baths. You guys know I do. These were very nice. I haven't seen my Avon lady in a while so I added Wal-Mart bubble baths into the mix. I used Lavender Sonoma Spa Bubble Bath and Milk & Honey Sonoma Spa Bubble Bath. They are cheaper than Avon BBs but you have to use more. Even so, they work very well. They smell good and bubble up well.

Believe it or not, I only used up one body wash. I used a Dollar Tree Daily Defense Argan Oil Moisturizing Body Wash. I've been trying to use up most of the shower gels that I have accumulated over time. So, this month I only finished this one. I think I'll finish 2 more next moth!

I used a Secret Deodorant as always, an Annie's razor blade for my eyebrows, and a So Fresh So Clean Make-up Remover Pack. I picked up the makeup removers from Marshalls for $1.99. I wasn't a fan. I used them a few times and then they became my swatch removers. They weren't wet enough and I felt as if they didn't get any of the makeup off of my face.

I tossed some Becca makeup samples from Sephora. I tried using the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal. They did absolutely nothing for my face. Not a shimmer, not a glimmer not a sparkle in the sun. I am so glad that I didn't spend any money on these. I'd have been mad. I also tossed the perfume samples that I finally got around to testing. I kept one of them, gave one of them to a coworker and the rest are in the big green bin.

I finished a big container of It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product. I love this stuff. It's pricey but I honestly feel like it does something to my hair. I won't be repurchasing it though because I've begun going to the hair dresser every 2 weeks. No need in purchasing product if the salon lady is taking care of my hair.

I used another bottle of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat. By used a bottle I mean used half of a bottle. Anyone that uses Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat knows that it's all good until half way through the bottle. Then it's goes all goopy and stringy. That probably turns some people off. But, remember how awesome your top coat was for the first half of the bottle? Remember how super duper fast your nails dried when you used this product? Yep. It is soooo worth it! This stuff is the holy grail of fast dry top coats and if I only get to use half the bottle before trashing it, so be it. I'm ok with that.

I also, finally finished a Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms. Folks, I thought it would take for-eva to finish one of these. I've used this particular one for about a year. I currently have 4 more in different places in my house. I like them though. The color was good (cherry color) and it was moisturizing. If I didn't have 4 more, yes, I'd repurchase it.

My non-HBA empty has been my Gardein Pulled Porkless Shred BBQ Pocket Meals. I don't eat meat except seafood so I try to find "meat-like" foods for those times when I want something "meaty". Gardein has been making some pretty good things but I saw this pulled porkless pocket meal on a YouTube video a while back and jumped for joy when I saw the actual product in my local Wal-Mart. These bad boys are pretty good! The box says you can microwave them but I wouldn't suggest it. I put them in the oven at 350 for 25 minutes. The pastry is a bit sweeter than I like for a pulled porkless sandwich but it's a really tasty meal.

And that's what was in my trash this month. It didn't seem like a lot to me but I guess it really was once you tally it all up. What have you used up this month? Did you like it? Are you going to buy it again?
