Because Body Fantasies Cotton Candy Moisturizing Lotion is FREAKIN FANTASTIC!!

I don't know why this cheapy, sweetie, syrupy ... wait, was I talking about food? No, no, I wasn't. I was talking about my love of this moisturizing lotion. Yes, it's super sweet and no, it's not the most moisturizing lotion I've ever used but I love it. I found it at a drugstore several years ago and fell in love. Then, when it was time to replenish, I couldn't find it. I searched high and low and the only place that I could find it was on ebay and amazon.com. Both places had price tags of $8 - $12 (plus shipping) and I was happy to pay it because I loved the smell so much. And then I walked into Family Dollar.

I was going in to just see what they had. The dollar stores always seem to have little goodies that we miss. I've discovered nail polishes, hair products, household goods, etc. When you forget about these stores, you miss a lot.

Anyway, I walked into the store and saw these little Body Fantasies sets for $5. I saw a lily fragrance and a honeysuckle fragrance and then, in a torn box, opened lotion, just waiting for me, was my cotton candy fragrance.

I was on the phone with my mother and I know she thought I was crazy. I was whispering my excitement (I didn't want anyone to overhear me and steal it from me). I only found one but I drove 2 miles away to another Family Dollar and found 1 more box. Maybe each store only got 1?

Suffice it to say, I will make sure to stock up this holiday season. Perhaps that's the only time that Body Fantasies puts out the full size lotions to match the sprays. Maybe you can only get them in sets and my finding the lotion solo was a fluke.

Whatever the reason, I am on to you Body Fantasies. I will buy as many of these as I can find (ok, maybe 1 more) and I'll be ready when you put these away.

And then next holiday season it's back on, just you and me!

Summer Scents

Hey there!

For me, summer scents are no brainers. Spring scents are light and floral and delicate. Fall scents are hearty and heady and smell very “full”. Winter scents? Well, it’s too damned cold to think about fragrance! Go put on a sweater and get a peppermint white chocolate coffee.

But summer scents are sweet scents. In the summer I go all girlie with my scents. Most of the time I smell like I walked through a vat of cotton candy syrup. If that is too strong for you, I advise you wait until the Fall to stand next to me!

One of my fave summer scents was an impulse purchase (surprise, surprise) at the Sephora counter. They were having double points on fragrances so I decided to try a new one. I make a really good choice. Simply Pink by Pink Sugar is sweet and sugary and smells so good. It was about $22 for 1 fl. oz. This is a scent that I will make sure is ALWAYS on my counter top.

I have also talked about the Body Fantasies spray in Cotton Candy. This is one of my favorite scents of all times. I love this one. I start with the body cream and then add the spray and I am super sweet for the day. They body is spray is super cheap ($1.50 or $2 for the small size) and you can find it just about anywhere (Dollar General, Family Dollar, Walgreens, CVS, etc). The body cream is a different story. I have to order that bad boy on line.

I'm almost embarrassed to show the final one. It's a knock off of Britney Spears Fantasy Perfume (I think). I found it at Big Lots during the holidays. Whatever it's supposed to be, it's luscious. It again, smells sweet and candy like and yummy. I spritz it on and smell like a pastry kitchen (I didn't want to say cotton candy vat again). I love it. It cost me $3.50 and it's worth ever scent (ha! get it? scent/cent? Sorry. It was a long day). If it's not supposed to be Fantasy then, well, it's nice. Sorry about that too.

Summer sprays are easy to pick. Run through the candy store and you'll smell just like me. I only have a little while left before the first cold snap. Then I'll have to change over to something spicy and woodier.

And, I'll have to change over to pumpkin spice lattes.

Not really. I don't like pumpkin spice lattes but you get the picture.

Body Fantasies Fragrance - Cotton Candy Scent

I'm about to scour the web for some hand lotion.

It's going to cost me about $10 if not more.

And I don't care because I love this scent.

I am sooooo into cotton candy scents. I know, you probably didn't know that about me (insert sarcastic laugh here). Body Fantasies makes a cotton candy scented body spray. I normally don't like body sprays a lot because there's an alcohol "after smell" if it's a cheap one. Body Fantasies don't have that "after smell" so I actually like them. They have a myriad of scents to choose from and they don't cost a lot of money. My favorite scent by Body Fantasies is the cotton candy scent. Big Surprise.

I can pick up the spray at almost any store that I go into. That is never a problem. I can find travel sizes and bigger sizes for my perfume collection. But, I can't find the lotion that goes with this scent. I have had this particular bottle for about 2 years because I've been too scared to use it up. You know when you have the last little bit of something, you want to savor it. I wanted to savor this because I believed that once it was gone, it was just gone. And then I decided to Google it and guess what? I can buy it on line.

Yes, purchasing online (plus shipping) is much more expensive than buying it in the store. I can get the spray as cheap as $3. Amazon and other online retailer have it for $3.99 with $5.99 shipping! But it's worth it folks -- it really is!

So, I will be purchasing another bottle of lotion so that I can finish using this one. And in no time at all, you'll see this bottle in an Empties post.

And I can't wait because if you see this in an Empties post, that means I'm able to smell like cotton candy goodness.

And that makes me so happy!
