Ipsy Bag - December - Preview

Hey there!

I dunno folks. I’m not sure how much of a review that you good people will be getting this month. I must say the contents of Ipsy bag fell flat for me this month.
My 5 items this month were a Beauty Without Cruelty A.H.A. 3% Facial Cleanser, NYX Cosmetics Butter Lip Balm, Pixi by Petra Fairy Dust, Swissco Electroplated Eyelash Curler and a tarte deluxe lights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara.
I’m going to be totally honest and tell you that 2 things right off the bat are going in holiday goodie bags. I won’t be able to give you a review on those things because it will be after the holidays. 1 of the items will be loved (and you probably know which thing that is) and the other 2, well….. I dunno.
The bag itself was a bit on the cheapy, cheapy side this time. I was hoping for a bit more with it being December and all. I REALLY have to think about this bag. Let me play with it and then I'll come back and tell you what I think.

And here it is- what is an Ipsy Bag?(<-- a link to the about Ipsy page only, however my personal link is below), Ipsy is a subscription service makeup bag and for $10 a month, you get a bag and 5 beauty items -- sometimes full size, most of the time sample sizes. Some of the companies that supply items are very well known and some are lesser known companies.

Ipsy Bag - November - Preview

Hey there!

I don't have to say it. You can look at this month's bag and see that there is one special little thing that I am super excited about! I won't spoil it for you but OMG, I am in love already.

I think this month has a good mix of items. There is a Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray by Marc Anthony, a you're so FINE Eyeliner by Elizabeth Mott, Wonder Lip Paint by J. Cat Beauty, Eye Base by Be A Bombshell Cosmetics and Invisible Loose Setting Powder + Mini Fan Brush by Laura Mercier.

This time there is only 1 item that I won't be trying but I do have a guest blogger that will tell us all about it.

Ipsy Link  <--- I've put my link right here in case you are interested in checking this out for yourself. I personally think it's a great deal for $10 BUT that is completely my opinion and if you don't want to use my link, that's okay too! If you are interested and would like to try them out, I'd be super stoked if you did use my Link. If you do decide to, come back and tell me how you like your first bag!!

Ipsy Bag - October - Preview

Hey there!

It's here!!

I love getting that metallic pink bag in the mail. I know that I say that every single time. This time is no different -- except that I peeked online. I knew what I was going to get and that made me very, very excited.

This month the 5 items included a Épicé International Purifying Exfoliant, a Figs & Rouge Hand Cream in Mango Mandarin, A ModelCo Volumeyes Extreme Black Mascara, a Nicole by OPI Nail Lacquer and a Starlooks Lip Gloss. All of this is in a cute teal, quilted bag.

It looks pretty good. I'm excited to try everything. I'll check back in and let you know what I think!!

Ipsy Bag - September - Preview

Hey there!

It's that time again. I got my metallic pink package in the mail today! I was very excited. I opened it right at my desk and looked, smelled, and played with almost everything.

Just briefly, the Ipsy Bag (<-- a link to the about Ipsy page only, however my personal link is below), is a subscription service makeup bag. For $10 a month, you get a cute bag and 5 beauty items -- sometimes full size, most of the time mini's. Some of the companies that supply items are very well known and some are lesser known companies. I enjoy the subscription because it's like getting a little birthday present every month!

This month we have a cute gray studded bag that I plan on getting use out of. There's a Pacifica Natural Minerals liner, a NYX eyeshadow, Briogeo deep conditioner for my hair, Cailyn Art Touch Tinted  Lip gloss and a double ended Crown crease/shadow brush.

At first glance, I think I'm going to love 2 of the items (plus the bag. I already love the bag!).There is one item that I think I'll pass along and one item that I'm not sure about. The 5th item could go either way. But, you know you can't really say until the 2 weeks are up. Last month I wasn't sure about everything and ended up loving some things I didn't think I would. You just don't know folks. You just don't know.

Stay tuned. I'll let you know what the deal is!

AND, I've been thinking about adding a second beauty bag subscription to my list. You know that I tried the Conscious box and that didn't work out so well. Now that I've freed up that $20, I think I might try something different. What do you guys think? What subscription services have you tried and loved? And, which ones do I need to steer clear of?

Ipsy Bag - August - Preview

Hey there!

Yaaay! It's metallic pink bag time!

I just love when the Ipsy bag comes to my desk at work. It means 5 new pretties to try and a cute, new bag.

In case you aren't familiar with the Ipsy Bag, it's a subscription service makeup bag by Michelle Phan of YouTube fame. For $10 a month, you get a cute bag and 5 beauty items -- sometimes full size, most of the time mini's, much of the time fun to try. Various well known companies supply items as well as some unknown or lesser known companies. For me, it's a great way to try new products that you'd never try and to test out mini's of possibly more expensive items that you might not be able to afford to try.

This month's Ipsy bag has an Urban Decay Perversion mascara, Coastal Scents Forever Blush duo, Absolute New York's You're The Balm Lip Balm, Dr. Brandt Pores No More and Lord & Berry eyeliner. Four of these items are ones I have really wanted to try. I'm pretty excited about this bag and I think you lucky folks are going to get a review sooner rather than later!

As for the bag itself, it's really cute. It's very plasticy smelling (think beach ball plastic). I'm going to let it air out a bit and see what I end up doing with it.

This is my third Ipsy bag and it looks like it's better than the other two (and the other two were pretty good!).

I think the next 2 weeks are going to be pretty fun!

Ipsy Bag - July - Preview

Hey there!

I don't know if anyone else gets excited when they see this pretty pink bag in the mail but I do. The guy from the mailroom came down the hall with that bright pink packet and I almost squealed out loud. I wasn't sure what was in it but I knew I'd love it!

This month we got a bright pink bag inside our bright pink packet (it's a good thing I like pink). I haven't read up on it but it's cute. It smells funny but I'm sure the smell will dissipate after a while.

I got a Be Fine Food Skin Care Daily Moisturizer with SPF. I'm excited about that because I've been trying to find a good moisturizer.

The bag also came with a bare minerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow. I'll reserve my judgment and won't give anything away (but I think I'm gonna love it!).

There was a Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm. I love lip balms so I'm all about it!

I got a Whet nail polish in a color that's....well, just wait for the reviews.

And they included a Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil. You think you know, but you don't!

So I can't wait to try these goodies. I opened the bag at work Thursday and wanted to try everything right away! But, I restrained myself.

This weekend I will try EVERYTHING!!

Stay tuned!

Ipsy Bag - June - Preview

Hey there!

Guess what I got in the mail! Yep, my Ipsy bag. I was excited because I had been on the waiting list for my bag for 2 months before I realized that I could get off of it myself. Yep, I decided to read. It's fundamental folks.

So I did get my bag last Friday and I was super excited to see what was inside. Well, first I have to talk about the makeup bag. It's a nice quality bag but the design was a bit much for me. I see it as a bag for someone's holiday gift or something. Just because I'm not fond of the design doesn't mean someone else won't like it.

Quick overview of what's inside -- There's an eyebrow pencil by OFRA. I'm super excited to try it. It looks to be about the right shade for me. There's a Be A Bombshell mascara. I will probably give that to my mom. I don't wear much eye makeup these days and I don't want to waste it for the 2 days a month that I do wear mascara. There's a Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray which will go to a friend at work. Brown girls' hair doesn't like sea salt spray so.... I got a NYX butter gloss in crème brulee. NYX butter glosses are always a good thing. And, there's a Realtree for her eau de parfum spray that I've already squirted on. You have to wait until the review for what I thought.

I'm gonna cheat and tell you that one of these things got a squeal out of me. It really did. I won't tell you which (well, you know it wasn't the beach spray) but when it's review time, you will squeal as much as I did.

So at first glance, I say $10 well spent. I haven't researched any of the products yet, so I don't know the prices but I bet I'll get $10 out of this one.

Stay tuned....
